Anyone have any tips of enhancing kratom or lowering your tolerance?
Might take a tolerance break for a day or few, but was wondering if anyone had any tricks or tips. Like how about grapefruit juice? Or is that mostly benzos?
Been loving kratom lately even with a little tolerance. Been eating tons and just ordered more. Also have a great local headshop that has reasonable prices.
Let this be a kratom appreciation and tips thread.
Also I would love to hear everyone's favorite strains and why.

I had a really good kratom dealer who I actually became cool with his last batch was horrible. It makes me cringe at the thought. I think it was coated in chemicals cuz I could not hold it down and that’s super rare for me. Projectile vomiting all over my bathroom. It was an involuntary contraction of my stomach. Really made me stop kratom. What sucks is he has had some of the best shit too. I had a buncha shit but nothing was as good as the red meang da. Shoot u into fuzzy land and eat half the kitchen.

grapefruit juice should not work for kratom, grapefruit juice inhibits the thing that turns mitra chemical into 7-oh so it would have the opposite effect of good you would have more mitra in your system, but less of it would convert to the more powerful 7-oh chemical

It's been assumed that grapefruit juice can potentiate kratom because it potentiates some classic opioids. However, its potentiation has nothing to do with them being opioids. In fact, grapefruit lessens the effects of some opioids as well.
Grapefruit inhibits CYP3A4. If CYP3A4 breaks down a substance into inactive metabolites to remove it from the body, inhibiting CYP3A4 can mean that more makes it into your system and stays there longer.
However, if CYP3A4 metabolizes the substance from an inactive to an active metabolite or into a more potent metabolite, inhibiting CYP3A4 can lessen effects.
Recent research shows that mitragynine is metabolized into the more potent 7-hydroxymitragynine by CYP3A4. One study suggested that this metabolism is responsible for most if not all of mitragynine's opioid receptor mediated effects in mice. If this is the case in humans as well, grapefruit juice would lessen kratom's effects. This also applies to turmeric and black pepper.

Kratom is great you just gotta find a decent source. If you're opiate naive or have low tolerance you should feel pretty great from 3-5 grams.
I've been using it for little over 6 years now it's definitely one of my favorite substances.

If your tolerance is already pretty high you'd need to quit it for a while for a break to have any worthwhile effect. I guess there's things out there you can take to prevent a tolerance buildup but I haven't really looked into all that.
Kratom has been good to me. It's satisfying for me and I don't have to break the bank or go through bad withdrawals compared to opiates if I quit. I used Kratom just recently to help me quit nicotine and it worked great.
I can take it or leave it. Drugs like that are the best.

I’ve seen those around but they all seem insanely overpriced. There’s a gas station by me that sells these pills that are named something really close to a drug but slightly different... like sanax or something and what it is is Phenibut. It’s three pills that equal about 2 grams in total and it goes for around $15. The gas stations around me don’t think everyone has the internet I guess..

I've been having to switch up my kratom sources lately because I keep getting weak shit and I can't have that, I'm wayy too addicted. Good kratom I only have to eat like 14-16 capsules but shitty kratom i'm eating like 30. I really only use it for the energy so I like maeng da the best, I hate feeling dizzy off of it so its hard to find the exact kratom I need.

Sound like you have an affliction for addiction my friend. Try cross tolerance. Get a bunch of drugs and do them on different days and guess what, you get more fucked up since you have no tolerance. Plus it's a wild ride.

ya that just ends with me on benzos, coke, K, and even more kratom lol I can't go more than 8 hours without kratom, the withdrawals are very real after 6 years of daily dosing

I tried a 20% mitraygnine extract (normal leaf is 1-2% tops) and it was kinda underwhelming. Good for sleep though. Only had to eat 2 capsules instead of 20. But it was 150$ for 15g so fuck that

I know where to get store-stocked kratom it's like 25 dollar for a bunch of pills, like bornea and so on... not bad but I haven't felt the freedom to buy any as I am on a limited budget

Aside from a break cutting down or tapering can be helpful.
But really the best advice is to stick to lower doses. It's different for everyone but if you find your sweetspot you might be able to take it regularly with consistent effects. Personally that's around 1.5g or so.
The other important thing is to avoid redosing too often, which can lead to a faster building tolerance. I find at least 4-5~ hours between doses is best, so I usually only dose 2-3x a day.
At the dosages listed I've been able to go months if not years of daily use with consistent effects, occasionally I'll take a bit more or cut down to balance any tolerance out.
It really is different for everyone though, and some people probably shouldn't use it too regularly unless they can stick with low doses.

I was so fucked up on kratom. My peak was a kilo a week. I had to eat fried beans and Metamucil just to shit. 10g every 4 hours a day. So over an oz a day. I was pretty normal but I burnt myself a million times. Would not even feel grabbing a frying pan out the oven. Shit fucked me up but that was like year 8. Before that I was normal just a build up of tolerance
