Is this even a cube?? Maybe bacterial?

So I have two shoeboxes of Burma that I massively screwed up as far as moisture and got only side pins. They both look identical, I harvested one just now and the caps were a little slimy but that could be from being so bunched up.
The thing is these dont look like cubes to me, at least not that I’ve seen although the caps have gotten more cube looking overnight, and nothing like any Burma’s I’ve seen. If it was one box I’d just write it off as something weird but since it’s two it’s gotta be genetic I’d think.
Idk if it’s from the coir being too dry or some sort of contam but they both have sort of a spicy smell to them.

Looks quite similar to my grow.

Those are definitely cubes. Doesn’t look like you screwed up too bad to me... pins are pins in my book and I’d take em where I can.. they were probably too wet so maybe got bacterial.. I’d just dry them in a dehydrator with heat. Can’t really force a substrate to fruit the way you want them to fruit.. but at least you got fruits!
It also looks like you flipped the sub upside down... did you do that with your other ones? That could be a big factor.. the bottom of subs (Based on how they colonize) are a bit more matted than the “open” tops and less “airy” than the normal fruiting surface, therefore, not as optimal for pin formation than a compressed bottom (at least for the first flush)... ime
Not saying that’s the definite reason but could be a factor

The reason I flipped them was there were tons of side pins and nothing on top. I had made my sub too wet before so the next three I made drier, turned out to be too dry and all three had lots of side and bottom pins and maybe one or two on top so I flipped them all and put in a humidity chamber.
Two were Burma which look like the picture, and the third was golden teacher which put out normal looking shrooms.
Either way like you said shrooms are shrooms. Was about 160 wet. They also popped right off when I picked them which was nice. Idk why maybe cuz they took longer.
These three recent ones were the slowest of the batch of jars I had made so I think they’re dirty. The two Burma’s smell weird and the teachers i don’t remember smelling anything but it got a huge trich patch a couple days after I harvested the first flush.

How much spawn and sub went into that?

From straight eyeballing at the pics you took, they are a - ok, and your not alone on that spice smell, My cubes had that smell from day one and get super aromatic, but it's not unpleasant. Even if they look a lil weird sometimes; side pinning will just give you shorties . Personally I would still try and take some prints either way, but your grow still looks pretty dope
