Monotub Contam - Coir mixing stage

Been having issues with contams at the point of mixing bulk WBS and pasteurized coco, using the 3 bricks coco into a 5 gal bucket w boiling water and lid method.
Has anyone tried mixing in 50% coir with the soaked/rinsed WBS. Then loading into filter patch bags, sterilizing, then inoculating? Basically skipping a step and reducing chances for contams when mixing pasteurized coco with inoculated WBS in basically open air?
Thought is that I would end up with a totally sterile block of mycelium 50/50 Coir/WBS after it's fully colonized with enough h20 from the field capacity coco for a couple flushes. Thoughts?

The consensus seems to be that contam is 99% about your spawn. From what Iβve read once the wbs or whatever is fully colonized itβs pretty much able to fend for itself. Usually contams after spawning to bulk the problem is something bad hiding in the grainspawn jar. Especially with coir which is supposed to be difficult to contaminate.

Yeah thats not where your problem is coming from but the process youβre describing sounds like boogs bags and yeah it works.
Post pics of your grain spawn.

No pics at the moment, starting over. But grain spawn was always pure white without a hint of contams. Smell was pure mycelium once opened as well.
Any links to the boogs bags tek or similar?

Sorry to tell you but if you were getting contams before first flush 99% of the time it was your culture not the coir. Without pics there is no proof either way but the odds are agains it being your coir/mixing process.
