dreams 2

my dreams take place in recurring settings
recently, vast industrial spaces have been the main hangout. Like the basement of a high rise,a network of sairwells, or a massive city drain that emerges into a desolate forest at night.
other times it is a highly populated, high tech place like the airport or mall
my home has always been living, breathing, and expanding ever since my first memory of my first dream about climbing my never ending attic and opening the tunnel in my basement
The setting of a dream i feel is more telling than the events taking place, though they are usually inextricably linked
dreams are meant to prepare you for future situations, at least mine seem to be
the point of a nightmare is to replay a situation before it happens... but we dont think about natural disasters or serial killers all day...
anxiety about finances can manifest itself as such a situation in a dream...
being slammed repetitively on the shores of a rocky beach by 25' waves was the most repetitive dream I've had this lifetime... while watching my parents struggle financially in 2008 combined with the stress of entering high school
I had a dream that the ocean had made it to my house. I didnt realize it was my house. Until I was able to vaguely recognize specific hills that had been the high points of the community that were now little islands being washed away.
I have a feeling that my dreams are becoming less adventurous
Last year I had a dream about taking shrooms and flying in a jet pack around a dr. seuss world where people lived in little space needles
Now i dream of lonely industrial basements.
I feel like exploring my dreams a lot more as of recent.
I've felt more disconnected from myself even though I'm more comfortable.
You can be chilling in a lagoon and then out of nowhere u zoom out and circle the globe and land on a mountain
what up with that?
yall believe that dreams hearken a truth.... or is it just randumb noise?
just an inventory of daily events or a sign of whats to come
tell me ur dreams

I have terrible dream recall I don't really want to start writing them down. Is there any other way to improve it?

When you wake up, try to ask yourself "what just happened in my dreams?" and think hard of what just happened. I find it usually helps me remember. Also there seems to be a sweet spot for remembering dreams in terms of time spent sleeping. Around 7-8 hours of sleep I seem to remember my dreams the best.

setting an alarm to get u up in REM, then falling back asleep helps lucid dreaming
and nicotine patches
I'm not very interested in lucid dreams tho. anyone can imagine anything.
Its so mentally taxing for me to keep it going naturally. I havent tried galantamine or nicotine patches but i will soon.

You've tried it before?
Ive also found that going bed exhausted really helps. Not just tired, but full exhausted.

dream herb is fake... and bitter
weed 24/7 helps dreams linger
i can even recall old ass dreams a lot easier
but forget them easier too
most dream settings seem to not be extraordinarily detailed or complex
i wonder what part of the brain is involved in creating space and if there are some predetermined map types that we go back to

Ive heard great things about Dream Herb. Guess I gotta try it myself.
Ive noticed that the most complex/intricate dreams are easiest to remember. Perhaps because they are so memorable/unqiue?

I dreamt my brother pruning the bottle brush bushes out in front yard, and him falling off a cliff, being trapped in a tower, in a parking lot looking for money.

the more vivid the more likely you'll remember
thats just how memory works
I invite the low res dreams though something about the feeling of them is just so foreign.
empty and sterile, almost like being a lego
almost gives you the feeling nothing is real while ur living it

I get the best dreams after taking a break from smoking weed. Also melatonin helps my dreams become full on stories where it feels like they last all night. I've been getting crazy vivid dreams lately, and some lucid dreams. Lucid dreams are amazing imo because my favorite thing to do is just fly around. I fly as high as I can, as fast as I can, sometimes I don't have a body and i'm a weightless sphere with 360 degree vision. They seem so real, I can feel the air, smell nature, interact with people. I love having sex in lucid dreams lol. Also smoking DMT in a lucid dream is very interesting
