My Computer has HERPES!
    #2634339 - 05/03/04 10:51 PM (13 years, 4 months ago)

anybody know any absolutely free virus detectors/eliminators.  i found one that said it was free and it scanned my system and found 100 viruses  and when i clicked "cure" it tried to get me to input my CC# for me to pay for them to be removed.  now all i know is that i have a ton of viruses but that damn program won't let me remove them unless i pay for it.

i know which files are infected because the program drew up a list of all the infections...would it be possible for me to just delete all the .exe files mentioned containing a virus or is that dangerous to the applications on my computer?

HELP HELP HELP!

TB doesnt allow scripts to run automatically.

Adaware gets rid of spyware and adware, some of which are practically like viruses. They're very annoying and it's a useful utility - almost every comp has spyware on it. If you ever get random popups, have your homepage changed, get a wierd search page, etc. you have spyware. Spybot is also an excellent free spyware removal program (what I use).
