Colonized jar grains.

I'm playing catchup with my grains at the moment. Got a few jars that still need to colonize while others I g2g'd are fully colonized. Me being me, and wanting to do less work (as most of us I'm sure), would rather wait until all jars are fully colonized so I can spawn them all together.
I've had some jars colonized for over 2 weeks while the others ones I've done are sitting at about 40% or so. Have you guys ever had any performance issues with sitting on colonized grains for a bit?
I doubt there is any need for concern, but the reassurance is always a comforting feeling. Never really had to sit on colonized grains for awhile.
Also, if this is the case then my second question would be.. how long could I get away with having a colonized grain jar? I wouldn't mind keeping a jar for a future grow. Usually, grow once a year. The spawn I have now was cleaned up very nicely and is performing well within the grains.
Wouldn't mind stashing a master jar. Think one would last a few months?
Thanks ahead of time!

Do you know how to do a culture slant? It's basically a test tube with agar that is allowed to thicken at an angle to allow for a longer surface area. You then allow add some culture to the slant and allow it to colonize. Once it colonizes some agar you put it in a fridge to slow the growth. This can last for about 6 months to a year but 6 months is preferable to ensure viability.

I do not because its really not a huge deal for me to keep a culture for months on end.. but I figured if I could get away with a master jar stored away in the fridge or something I wouldn't be opposed to it.
Always have enjoyed working with agar. But if it really is a simple task.. guess I should look into it.
I've got 'master' dishes of agar as well in the fridge. Not sure how long they'll last but have no issue with holding onto them opposed to throwing them out.

Couple weeks is fine and jars will last months or more in the fridge. Dishes will last months in the fridge so look onto slants for long term or make a transfer every couple months or so

It doesn't matter what i think of you...all that matters is clean spawn I'm tired do me a favor
