Location: PNW
cap: orangish brown viscid when wet. Umbonate. Smooth
Stem: white to orangish purple with age, hollow.
Bruising: faint purple to black. Smell: farinacious
Habitat: Growing in clusters on dead conifer.
This is my first season mushroom hunting and I've had a ton of false alarms so i appreciate the patience of those who've taken the time to ID and help me learn from each dubious paper bag full of hypholomas with the occasional skull cap garnish Here is a possible addition to my reign of mycological misfortune

Not anything worth keeping.
Better details/pics would help and spore prints.

Any idea what they are? The spore print is purplish black like the other hypholoma strains I've found. Thanks for your help!

Very hard to tell what you are talking about.... The first 4 in your gallery are so out of focus they are difficult to tell much about, other than that they appear to all be different types..... They don't look very much like any of the Hypholoma species I'm familiar with in the area.
the last one that I don't think is included in your posting is likely to be Hypholoma fasiculaire.
-------------------- Disclaimer - I'm just a hobbyist and cannot absolutely guarantee any ID offered. I'm most familiar with the species found in the Pacific Northwest - those found in other parts of the world may vary considerably, so always do your own research to find out what grows in your area and what lookalikes you need to be aware of. Understand that many mushroom species cannot be 100% reliably identified by photographs alone, even by an expert, so it may not be possible to go beyond suggesting a probable genus.
