My first King oysters grow. Agar -> oat -> linden sawdust & vermiculitis. Cakes in plastic containers, 10-15 C primordia spawn, 17-21 C growing.

it seems you have a bacterial contamination in the first picture. the spawn picture also indicates this. However, you managed to get fruits nonetheless which is awesome. Congratulations on your first eryngii grow!

This is great, I have got a heap of king oyster mushroom spawn but could never get it to fruit. Currently very warm where I am so I tried putting the fully inoculated substrate into a fridge on low (running around 10 degrees C). Still nothing, maybe it was too dry?
How do you get them to the low temp to initiate primordia?

I dipped the cakes into the water at 7-8 C outside (my temp on the balcony this autumn) and 10 C in the box. Than they was 48 hrs in water under the foil in box. Finally I was breaking foil in several places with humidity 90% and airing 3-4 days and primordia spawn.
2 cakes was only with linden sawdust & vermiculitis, one with small amount of soil for orchids (dark cover on foto) and one with coconut. Cake with coconut soil has only primordia and didn't fruit, the rest is on third flush at this time. I added also to rehydration water 4g honey per liter before 3rd flush.
