Hi guys. I’m new here and just wanted to make a post to introduce myself. I have a lot of questions and plan on being active in these forums, as I have been a “lurker” for months. Still haven’t figured out how to change my avi.. maybe I should use my laptop so I can see more than just this tiny text on my phone. You guys are amazing, and this space is a gem. Hope you all have a great evening

Thanks for the hi’s :,)
I’ll fire two off right now since you’re offering!!
Draining mono tubs after dunk: Could I just drill two small holes on the underside of my mono tubs (on the underside edge where the plastic has this annoying ring that dips down) and cover them with duct tape while in use (colonizing/fruiting), then uncover them to drain after a dunk? I would do this to avoid the damn water catching several inches of a substrate corner when I’m draining, since most of the time I do have pins or other immature fruiting happening between flushes. Hope that makes sense.
Float/cut vs picking when fruits are maturing at different times: I have not yet mastered an even harvest, and am still learning methods for this. I originally did a float/cut, but several were still immature. I messed up the draining and got one of the corners wet- it was frustrating and I felt like I wasn’t “doing it right”.. For now it seems best to pick them as they mature and possibly do the hole-draining method, as mentioned above. What are your thoughts? Tysm and mods are welcome to move this to cultivation.

That's a good question. I am leaning towards, yes, that would be an acceptable practice. I, however, am not a current expert on shroom cultivating, so I would wait for other people's opinions before doing it. For the record, posting a introductory thread in The Pub is great, but if you want the best feedback regarding shroom cultivating then I recommend you ask those questions in the Mushroom Cultivation forum here: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/postlist.php/Board/2

This question I can't help you with at all. I'm sure in Mushroom Cultivation forum they will give you all the help you need, and more!
How did you find this website?
