Monotub lid off or on?
    #26337461 - 11/22/19 06:04 AM (4 years, 2 months ago)

Hopefully doesn’t seem silly. I’m retired due to falling off a roof. I have a fully colonized mono and all seems well. My question to the community is maybe a simple one. Could I leave the lid off my mono as long as I’m around to keep the moisture right?
I am asking sort of on the basis of seeing some folks grow in flower pots and other things with some success. I’m no expert but this isn’t my first rodeo either. Does anyone out there have any experience with open air, indoor cultivation?

It is absolutely possible and can be quite fruitful, provided you keep the moisture levels right.
Growing chambers are just used so that we can leave them unattended.

Cool. So as long as I keep moisture on it and it doesn’t dry out, that is a yes? I’m journaling my grow for the first time ever so if I decide to go lidless I will make sure that’s included. I am a little timid to try it though.

To update: I find it too difficult to regulate with lid off in the open air. I opted to let it air out for 30 minutes in the morning, no fanning, followed by a heavy misting and and upside lid. Lots of growth. Pins coming up on maturity.
