Beginner / Inoculated grain jars

Hey guys,
I am pretty new at this and its my fist time inoculating grain jars. Its been a little more than two weeks, and I am concerned that the spores I've used might not take before contamination begins.
I am using spring rye grain with 2-3ccs in each jar. Vendor: Vancouver Seed Bank. The heat mat that they are on is adjusted to 25C and the room temp is 22C.
Process: 1- Rinse the grain in sterile water, and than soak for 24 hours. 2- Rinse once more, then simmer for 30 minutes until firm (sterile water) 3- Drain and add gypsum (1-3 grams of gypsum per 100 grams of rye) 4- Stir and put into inoculation jars (fill 3/4 full) 5- wrap with tin foil and PC for 90 mins and cool for 24 hours. 6- Spray syringe with 99% rubbing alcohol and heat tip (red hot). Then insert in jar and put 2cc's in each jar. 7- Place in a dark spot.
I always make sure to have a sterile space while using 99% rubbing alcohol and disinfectant bleach diluted with water for the air. I pressure cook all my equipment before using it and whip down with 99% afterwards.
I am open to suggestions and comments. please let me know what you think.

Yes I said that in the post, I got it from Vancouver Seed Bank. Why would that be a concern though? Is it because of the method they used putting the spores in the syringe? And when you say “fucked” you mean contaminated correct? If you could explain a little more that would be wonderful.

Does anyone have any suggestions then for Canadian vendors? I sent Ralph Canada a money order 3 months ago, and never even got a reply when I contacted them to ask what happened. And now the ones I got from Vancouver Seed Bank are “dirty” . I haven’t had much luck. I thought the mushroom community would be more friendly. Sorry if it sounds like I’m complaining

I dunno- kind of looks like bacillus to me. Lots of burst grains and too wet. Also don't start with multispore to grain. Get agar and look through the teks on here, and do some transfers to obtain a clean culture. You might want to reduce your simmer time. I prefer grains a little dry As long as you use viable spores, you'll still be cleaning up useing grain no matter who you order from. If you're going to be adamant about using syringes/ms, use the pf tek/brf cakes. Or just go gewt some agar in the international foods section or maybe the baking section (no clue how groceries are organized in Canada's stores). All syringes are dirty, as are prints. Might as well get agar since I image you have grains left over. Do not send money to Ralphster. He's a friggin crook. I can't discuss bvendors on here, but I can tell you that for my microscopy needs, I use Shroomery vendors. They are all trustworthy and deliver what you ordered. They are vetted and will not rip you off, period. I've dealt with every vendor that sells spores that flies a banner here, and get what I pay for. I sent you a PM with a friendly suggestion.

Read through this. It'll help you troubleshoot everything,do agar, etc... It'll save you loads of time. Don't get discouraged.

Thats bacteria and probably yeast too in those pics. There is no saving those jars.
Most of the sponsors will ship worldwide, but it might be a bit slower.
I don't recommend spores to grain, the risk is too high. I do recommend ordering some new spores, from a reputable source, and some agar online. Read up on agar procedures while you wait for the mail to arrive.

Thank you everyone, I will look more into Agar and order some more spores. I don’t have a flow hood only because 99.98% HEPA filters are expensive and a little difficult to find in Ontario lol (or online). I’ve looked into it. I want to invest in one in the future. I have also looked at constructing a still air box, and I’m thinking that’s the route I’ll have to go if I do agar.
I tried Liquid culture with these spores when I did the inoculation jars, but didn’t have any luck. And, I realize agar gives you the chance to get rid of the contamination if it’s present.
Thank you everyone for the advice, and encouraging words. I enjoy the learning and experience, although it may be frustrating at times. And becoming a bit costly lol.
I had a feeling it was a bacteria thank you for the confirmation. Also I have already made note in my logs to reduce simmer time and put less water in the PC when I put it on for 90 mins. Thank you
