cyanescens worth it? Higher yield possible with cloning? 1

From what I read cyanescens yield much less. Is it possible for a full canopy or at least higher yields by cloning? Or would you say is it not worth it?
Typically how much stronger are the cyanescens than Cubes?

I'm assuming you're referring to Psilocybe cyanescens rather than Panaeolus cyanescens. If so, this species is considered substantially more difficult to cultivate in a controlled environment than cubensis, meaning it's especially difficult to ensure a full canopy, although you could certainly increase yields with cloning.
It's hard to give a "typical" number for how much more potent one species is than another. There are a lot of variables that come into play such as substrate choice, fruiting conditions, genetics, etc. That said, the data presented in Stamets book suggest that Psilocybe cyanescens is generally around 30% stronger than Psilocybe cubensis. Hope that helps!

He’s probably talking about Panaeolus Cyanescens. Pans are a good bit more difficult than cubes to get a good canopy. Check out the official Panaeolus thread, there’s a lot of good stuff to learn there. jakeoncid has a great Pan Tek but it’s pretty complicated. I’d say pans are closer to 3x the potency of cubes. Most people trip hard on a gram. If your not experienced growing cubes I’d learn to grow them first.

So they like Poo. I have experience with cubes. I may try these just for fun, one of the sponsors sells spore prints for pan cyans

Did they not grow at all or just a very small yield? did you clone them?

Holy shit, that is an epic grow. Thanks for posting that. I thought I had most of them bookmarked, but that slipped away I guess.
Anyway, OP, the yield for cyans is A LOT more than cubes in terms of overall magic. For 3 quarts of sub, I usually pull 28-32g dry. That is 14-16 full on level 5 trips. You only have to try them once and you'll want to learn how to grow them for sure.

I first tried straight to wbs and got thin wispy strands which I think stalled and chucked then I tried agar. which wasn't successful either probably poor procedure on my part. sorry past tries were failures maybe this'll light a fire and i'll give it anothr go.

The trip is longer correct? And much more intense? Are the colonization and growth times about the same as cubes?

The trip is more intense. Fresh pan cyans does seem to have a longer come up. But the duration is about the same.

It can be longer. My first 2g trip was lemon tek and it was about 7 hours. I haven't had one that long since. I make tea now and it hits pretty quick. The intense part of the trip is maybe 2.5 hours and then when you get to the other side of the peak you are still tripping hard for another hour or two. Post-peak pan cyans is still like a strong cube trip but what I think of as "normal tripping".
