Anyone else living in an apartment? How much do you worry about your tenants or landlord? They cant just come in with out notice right?

It is risky but not impossible. I do it but I have had probably 4 real close calls that I know of where if maintenance was paying attention / cared they could've easily turned me in. Thankfully I rent from a slumlord whose maintenance is overworked and underpaid so they pretty much just dont give a shit what is happening as long as you arent damaging property.
I guess this is a drawn out way of saying I bet you will be put in at least one "oh fuck" stomach dropping situation, probably a few actually. Be safe and be smart.

I live in a apt, they come in and spray for pests every month on the 27th... One time i had shrooms all over the place when they came and i wasnt home, still havent heard anything about it. My landlord is pretty cool plus im never late on rent.. But i still try to keep everything sketchy in my bedroom with the door shut when im not home... Either way it goes i am prepared for the consequences that come with this hobby. I try to stay low key but if shit hits the fan Ive done plenty of time in my past and I can sit down again if i have to. Good luck brother.. If you love cultivating mushrooms then dont let anything stop you.

Someone built a whole big ass cabinet with a lock to keep everything secured just in case. Typically you're supposed to get 24hr notice, but consult your lease.

I live in an appartment. I built a shelf in my bedroom that has a curtain hanging in front. If someone goes snooping around that much and finds them they are in trouble.
Had a few close calls but my maintenance people are cool.

as long as they dont open my closet, tripdawg, we are all groovy
Spunk, they can enter your apartment if it is a maintenance related emergency, for example a leak onto the apartment below you. This WILL happen at some point so expect it. Clean your workload as you go and it shouldnt be too hard to hide some tubs.

There’s a lot of things in this hobby that look blatant to us because we know what they are but are just oddities to others. Like if someone had a bunch of grain, empty jars, empty plates, a PC and a dehydrator, I would be guessing someone is into mycology but if you don’t know, it’s only the plates that are out of the ordinary at all. It’s really only when the tubs are kicking off that it’s obvious to anyone.
If you’re worried about suspicious snooping eyes I would suggest getting a few books on cooking gourmet mushrooms, as well as the health benefits of mushrooms and leave them either prominently about or with your mushrooms. Besides, they could be interesting books! Frankly plenty of people grow mushrooms to eat and don’t care about the psychedelics, unless they taste good.
The reality is almost all busts I’ve heard about relate to other drugs or incidents and the mushrooms were also there. Like if your landlord hates pot don’t light up a bunch of bongs, don’t cook meth, don’t have loud drug fueled late night parties, don’t have any violent fights, etc. If you live with anyone don’t grow without their knowledge.
It’s very often some other reason that gets the cops involved and wandering in the place that then also gets the mushrooms noticed or taken for evidence because they were with the rest of the obvious drugs.

Under 100 bucks, get yourself a large metal flight box / tool box that locks (ideally with padlocks). For bonus points, chain the box down so the whole thing can't get lifted.

I don't commit any crimes (and suggest nobody else does), but just to keep personal belongings secured in these troubled times I have a padlocked box like this. Your landlord would need an angle grinder to gain access.
