First ID request, please let me know if I messed anything up. Thanks! They looked a little old so just want to confirm type and if bruising or rotting.
Habitat: growing in patch of mulchy chips under and around leaves in the PNW by seattle.
Gills: brownish orange, gills mostly attached to the stipe?
Stem: 1-3 inches, 1/2" to 1 1/2", white with some bruising black/blue? sort of hollow, thin?
Cap: 1/2" to 1 1/2", brownish orange but also some pale ones, all pretty wavy
Spore print color: in process but seems to be dark purple when I accidentally hit on on the piece of paper while brushing off dirt.
Bruising: looks like blue bruising, but they look old too, could be rotting? Can anyone help.
Other information: scent was pretty standard mushroom smell I though. Not too sure.

Cyans, and a little old but perfectly fine. Make 4 of those into tea while they are fresh and have the ride of your life. Be ready to hold on for the first hour. Mellows out after that.

Hi! Yes I just joined but have been lurking for a few days. Might have signed up a decade ago but not sure. Definitely lurked the site a while ago and used to take some trips but a while back I’d end up in bad trips and I’ve been too depressed and anxious to do any psychedelics. I got some mushroom shake from a friend about a month ago and have been micrososing which has been super great for me and want to explore that more which led me into mushroom hunting. Super lucky to have found these so quickly after three days of hunting. Can I use put these in front of a fan for a bit then grind them up for microdosing? Any time I’ve had mushrooms before they were already dried and we just ate them whole. Need to learn about drying and preservation next.
Thanks for your comment! Happy to have found this place again and have learned so much from you all already.

Nice work! Try using their stem butts to start some in cardboard and wood chips.

Thanks for suggesting this. Reading up on it now. I thought I could just make slurry and squirt it on some chips but that's the spores, correct?
I put all the stem butts in a paper bag. Is that good or should I use something else before I get my cardboard situated.

I'd recommend getting a cheap plastic sterilite shoebox from Home Depot then wet some cardboard so the glue melts and pull it apart. You don't want it soaking wet, but damp. Then sandwich the stem butts between the cardboard in the bottom of the shoebox. Layer soaked hardwood chips over the top of the cardboard and put the lid on the container to prevent it all from drying out. The stems will grow mycelium that will colonize through the cardboard then up into the chips. It's fairly slow growing but super vigorous mycelium.
I believe people also make slurry, but I haven't done it that way myself. I've had really good success with the stem butt method.

Really any container will work, I just like the size of those shoeboxes. But also you could use Tupperware or whatever to get it started then move it to a larger container later.

Personally i like the shape of flower pots for stealth, but shoeboxes definitely work too.

Not really necessary, but you could if you wanted. You can also use something like a bucket lid with holes in it.
