Worst case the relief valve blows and makes a loud noise. Modern pressure cookers are pretty safe.
Actually, worse case it runs dry and warps to the point of being useless

I got one going right now and the only thing I’m worried about is forgetting it on LOL but seriously with common sense, modern PCs are fairly safe.

I had one a year ago that melted. There was zinc holding the pot to the metal that contacts the burner. The zinc melted into a pool besode the pressure cooker. I still have the solid puddle of zinc.

It's probably about the same pressure as your car's radiator and I bet you've never worried about that.

As long as you take care of it and use it how it was designed to be used they are pretty darn safe.

They're safe but they're not always stupid-proof. Most accidents are from people trying to open them while it's still pressurized.

YES mine terrified me the first time!
Then I remembered that little old grannies use them to make jars of jelly all the time and told myself if the grannies could do it, so could I
there are a lot of safeguards built in and if you follow the instructions you have nothing to worry about!you got this!

This is honestly the worst thing that can probably happen and easily avoided if you use common sense.
@OP
If the thing runs too long and runs out of water, then you might fuck it, but if you are running a PC you shouldn't do it at 3AM when you're drunk, or at least have a partner or someone to turn it off in case you pass out.
I run my PC late sometimes but I never do it if I'm fucked up and I set a timer and a couple alarms on my phone just in case.
Beyond that, using it properly, putting enough water, making sure the heat is turned down after reaching pressure so water loss is minimal, and wait until it's fully depressurized before ever attempting to open it, all will be fine.
Also, avoid sticking your hands and face over it when opening if it's still hot as fuck, it will be full of steam and it can scald you badly.
tl;dr
common sense

I stand in the kitchen and watch it the entire time I am sterilizing with it. I have trouble regulating the pressure so I have to constantly be on alert and change the heat every few minutes. I usually stand the entire time lol I don't have a chair lmao

You shouldn't have to stand there the whole time...
Like Greg said, worst thing that could happen is the safety value blows, but the whole thing isn't going to burst like a bomb, not possible.

Call me retarded but I often leave the house to go buy groceries or other small shit while the PC is going. I just trust I have shit that dialed in.
A glass bottle of champagne has nearly 100 psi inside A plastic soda bottle holds over 100+ psi A regular 12 oz beer bottle can have upwards of 50 psi and will usually take over 100 to explode.
A pressure cooker sold in any first world country has no less than 3 safety features. Toggle or weight vent mechanism Blowout plug Locking mechanism during pressurization

I dont fear the PC. I mean how is it supposed to hurt you? By you standing next to it, it exploding into shrapnel and covering you in blood and war
is it supposed to bounce off and hit your head? some of the posters here should welcome death
in the REAL world however, I burned off the hair on my forearms, got my gloves on fire, and lightly burned myself on the equipment.
so. PC. good guy
iso and micro torches? highly dangerous
