My bags and grain keeps getting burned

Hey guys..
The past time i've experience something pretty annoying. I've started to grow in bags again, but they keep melting when i PC them. I have no idea why and it haven't been a problem before. Also my grain jars get burned from time to time.
I've set the stove at a lower and lower temp., but i keeps happening.
Do you have any idea what could cause this? I've had luck with one bag so far, and i've even tried with bags purchased different places.
It happens whether i cook one bag or 4 bags. It's pretty annoying!

It's a sawdust mix.
I just fill up to just about the top of the trivet plate, yes. And even if i cook one bag, and place it in the middle of the PC, it's still melting.

I have tried that. I put some jar lid rings in the bottom and placed the plate on that. The result was the bag melting on the entire plate.

RTFM (Read The Fucking Manual) I know when I gurst used a Pressure cooker I didn't bother to read the manual. I wasted 6 years of my life not growing mushrooms because I didn't read the manual. A 23qt presto says to put 3qt water in it. Then pnce you have loaded the jars and placed the lid on you must vent the air out after the lock pops up for 10min so as to ensure the chamber is only filled with steam.

The past 3 years, i've had this problem 2 or 3 times. Same PC, same procedure, even some of the same bags which i first bought.

It definitely sounds like you are running out of water. How hard is the weight wobbling during the cycle? Is their water left after the cycle? If so, how much?
If you bought shitty bags (I'd advise unicorn) they could be melting even without running out of water but jars? Hell no. They don't burn unless the PC runs low on water.

There's water left in the PC everytime, this time just over 100 ml out of the about 600 ml i poured in. I've also tried pouring more water in, without raising the plate, same thing. The weight is set to 15 psi.
I did suspect the new bags i bought so I tried the old bags which I've had fine success with the bag i just tried out yesterday but sure enough it was a little melted. Less than the first pic, but still melted.

It's a 21 qt all american PC. But i don't really think that the amount of water is the problem since i've tried the different amounts.
The jars is also only burned at a small spot which looks like to have touched the side of the PC.

Your Cooker probably requires around 3 quarts which is close to 3000ml. Have u looked in the manual?

I'll see if i can find it now. It still doesn't explain why i've been able to cook 500 jars and about 50 bags without the problem, when i've used the same amount of water everytime.
But i'll see what i can find.

I bought these filters and for some reason they also melted in the batch i cooked two days ago. Grains looked a little burned in that batch too, but there were still 4 jars that where fine and with the filter not melted...
Some of the bags are PVC and the others i don't recall buy i bought them here.

Post some pics of your PC with the amount of water you use.
Are you cooking on gas or electric. Is the flame lapping up the side of the cooker?

I've tried the different amounts and i've even put lid rings on one of the plates, and more rings on that, and the other plate on top of that. Same thing with the bags. The fist pic is 600 ml, just to the top of the plate. Secound about 1200 ml and the last is roughly 1600 ml

It's an electric stove, so no flames up the sides.

What is the point of trying to use as little water as possible?
If I had stuff burning my first thought would be “damn. I need more water”
Maybe your seal is fucked and your losing more water than you used to? Do you oil your gasket?
Hope this time it works out!!

No point in that really. Problem is that it's only started to burn for real.
Actually there could be something about the seal. Because the pressure tends to drop after about 1 hour of cooking but it's all ways hard to get off when it has cooled. I totally forgot about that. No oiling
It doesn't seem like im loosing more water than usually though
