Welcome to the Shroomery.
We need better pics. A good ID request would normally include clear pics of the cap, stem, and gills, as well as an in-situ shot of the mushroom in it's natural habitat. A description of the habitat should include what the mushrooms are growing on, i.e. wood chip mulch, grass lawn, compost, hardwood log etc. Your 'back yard' doesn't really tell us much. Also, please take a spore print if you're not already doing so, as that can help as well.

If the spore print is creamy pinkish I would suggest Lepista nuda.

Hmm, yeah, you could be right. The first pic is so unclear I thought at first I was looking at a mutated cap, but that's the underside isn't it? We need to see some clearer pics and a spore print preferably on foil or dark paper.

For sure.
I’m just kind of throwing that suggestion out there because I’ve been seeing a ton of Lepista nuda in Massachusetts.
