WOW! A brother in arms (twisted mangled dysfunctional arms). Luckily I only remember one time with the babysitters son (his mom was real piece of, ummmm, work too, another story), and that one time with the 2 men in the apt complex. There was a couple of other times but that was with 2 sisters (named Misty and Rain, lol) they were about 15ish and my brother and I were around 7-10, some random boys through the years before I was 12, and one really wild time with about 10 boys aged 10-15 (I posted it in here somewhere). My brother said that babysitters son got him numerous times though.

I could write a novel as well. This site has been a catharsis for me in some ways, and I think a lot of others in here as well whether they post what happened to them, friends, and/or family or not. The doc I talked to also came to the conclusion that I was going to be with men anyway and I could rest easy knowing that it wasn't due to the molestation. The confirmation was very good for me, this was in 2011-2012. Growing up in the south was pretty brutal having those thoughts and feelings, but I digress.:heart:

This thread is becoming amazing with every post, I have been through a lot of similar situations and so has my wife which is ironic to me because I had no idea that she had been abused as well. I’ve been told that people that have been abused can see it in each other without ever saying anything and I would have to admit that that is true I’ve had numerous gf’s growing up that we’re abused and the common denominator always surprised me. I will say it is more common for those that have been abused to continuously abuse themselves thinking that they are choosing it so it’s ok more often then someone actually becoming an abuser whether it be physically abusive significant other or just a toxic relationship. It’s really great to find more people like me and look forward to hearing more of people’s thoughts and how they are overcoming and coping with it now, whether it be anonymously or however they feel comfortable.

Mush love and light

Yeah. I'd say psychedelics and spirituality helped me a lot to get through a lot of what's happened in my life. At first I was pretty fucked up; I wouldn't be surprised if kids at school thought I was gonna be a columbine kid; lol

I use to be angry as fuck, but I found weed at 17 and almost completely switched over to love and light; living in the mountains blazing herb in the forest listening to bob can do that to you

other experiences later in life helped me to see the domino effect of causes that led to the abuse in my family and allowed me to recognize that it is a generational thing, that probably stems from some kind of conflict far in the past; seems like the ripples of war extend much further than a lot of people recognize

then when I added psychedelics to the pot a lot of what happened kind of clicked in a weird metaphysical systematic kind of a way; I started to see what happened to me and my family as not so much a personal thing, but like a forest fire or a flood; and all that really helped me to look at the hardships of people all around the world, and to not only be able to have sympathy but also empathy;

that said though, because of my outlook I often get in a lot of trouble with people, because folks (individuals and groups of people) tend to want to self-abuse as you said, and often times they find excuses for their self-abuse, and then often they try to find pity, and that pity than turns to anger, which is responsible for a lot of the division and racism that you see today.

a lot of groups today were abused in the past and or are still being abused (i'd reckon to say 99% of the population is being abused by the 1% tbh) and most of them are still in a stage of anger and hate for their abusers and yet still find themselves trapped being dependent on their abusers, and demand for others to fix their problems for them; they blame innocents just because of their skin color or their heritage.

Like an individual who won't begin to heal until they forgive their abusers and realize that they were just people who likely themselves where abused, and that they were ripples of a force much larger then themselves, and forgive themselves for being weak and allowing themselves to be abused, and then standing up and believing in themselves and believing in their ability to heal and grow; until that sentiment begins to set in across the globe we will continue to see stunted healing and growth I think.

as corny as it sounds only love can heal hate; but first one must come to love oneself; and that seems to be one of the hardest parts.

or something like that; hell what do I know; lol

all that said these child traffickers need to be stopped; we can forgive someone for being the byproduct of abuse and perpetuating that abuse, but we can't allow for said abuse to continue.
