Long story short my friend got popped with hella drugs I was exttactig small amounts of dmt for myself like he asked me in I'ma text if I could teach him and I said sure now we always use signal or wickrr we used and stupidly the turned off dissapeating messages and fogrot to put the back on I trimmed all my messages not sure sure it grims the other receipt also ( probably not) .
But now to the phone being tapped it's a Google pixel 3 XL. Recently my phone's been fucking up bad it turns of randomly and won't turn back on even in the charged the. Wehn it turns back on its not acting like it was a few days ago.
They told my friend that they are hiring an electronic lock smith to crack open his phone. Disnt even know they had that. Hopefully h dellted hi receipts and put a lock signal .
Ok enough rambling what should I do to protect my self, do I desroy the phone call they even get into his (Android galxay) or are the just bluffing?
thanks love you all:

"electronic lock smith"
Seriously though, they can probably get into his phone if they want, but I suspect they probably won't actually shell out the money for it. Unless your friend is an idiot, in which case it should be pretty easy but I still doubt they'll actually do it. Cops lie to try to make people talk, so you should take all those threats with a grain of salt.
Your phone is not tapped, just shitty. If I were you, I'd clean house anyway, and you should probably get a new number and a new phone just so you can stop being paranoid. But I seriously doubt anything will happen with your phone.
You should be more worried about your friend ratting you out if he knows anything. Or about the cops looking into you more generally if somehow your name came up at some point. Depends on the circumstances. Overall I'd say your almost certainly fine, but you should clean house anyway just in case. It'll make you feel better regardless.

That's a relief I'll let him know not to worry hopefully his password wasn't 1234 or something stupid that relates to him I've haved many phone's/ computers/ games that way lol.(not maliciously just for fun) What would you say the most secure phone on the market is rn I always heard the pixel was because it ran on a different os. Security is my number on priority.

Honestly the most secure phone is a landline, or just not having one.
Beyond that the iphone is probably the most secure, but even then if someone has enough money they can get into it for sure. Or if you run an out of date OS, or any programs with security flaws, I mean really a lot can go wrong. And if they have your phone and they keep it, then eventually a security flaw for it will be released, and someone somewhere will be able to get into it. Phones, and computers more broadly, are inherently insecure especially in the long run.
But don't let that get you down, it's unlikely any of that will happen. And the best route is to just never have anything even remotely incriminating on your phone/computer/life/etc. Next time you might just not let your friend (or anyone else) know about anything illegal you're involved in.

Why do you say iPhone? I always thought the iPhone was the least secure because I read a story once that the fbi hired someone from Apple to crack the encryption. I know they made a commercial recently about security and privacy but it didn't seem so convincing?

Your friend should get a lawyer. Unless it’s been out of your possession or you’ve been visiting odd links sent to you, you’re phone isn’t cracked, just having issues, perhaps related to battery power draw, I’d see if there’s a way to look at battery diagnostics if it keeps acting up.
You’re friends phone could vary from easily crackable to impossible, depending on the state and model of the phone. An ‘electronic lock smith’ is just going to look at the phone and see if there’s a known vulnerability or not. As far as I know, the best exploit for any phone is threatening the owner for the password.
If you want to stay secure, keep your OS up to date, use a full alpha-numeric password instead of a digit passcode, it should erase after ten failed attempts, no face or touch ID and if you get a chance you should turn your phone off before police get a hold of it.
Kept in that manner, as of right now there’s no known public way to access any brand of up to date phone from a cold start with a strong password. Even the black box hardware cracker exploit being sold a year or two ago against iphones no longer works on modern versions.
Of course, few keep their phone in such a secure state, so depending on the model there might be exploits, but they are just that, exploits. There’s no master key or ‘lock pick’ as in actual physical lock smiths. Most of the time the government gains access to the phone by gaining the password or fingerprint of the user, maybe by tricking them and saying that they can crack it, so why not just give us the password to save the trouble, etc.

This probably doesn't have to be said but you need to have no dealings with your friend. If he wants to buy or sell anything to you especially if he text you to do it you need to respond with something like "sorry I don't use drugs or know anyone who does" people get mighty desperate especially if they are looking at a couple of decades in prison. And with police the main technique is to get the suspect to work with them. They always want to find bigger fish. I had an incident where they hadn't charged me and they didn't have anything to charge me but I sat down with them with my attorney. They spent 10 minutes asking me questions about what they thought I had done. When that wasn't going anywhere they spent the next 15-20 minutes asking me about who I knew that sold or used drugs, if I knew the location of any drug houses, if. I could call someone up and make a deal with them over the phone, etc etc if your friend has charges they are definitely going to try to get him to implicate others. That's how they find labs, or individuals with large amounts of drugs. Helps get the officers name in the paper and get that promotion!

If your phone is tapped the only way to get rid of it is to wait or change numbers. It's not the phone itself.

Destroy EVERYTHING you have that can implicate you in any crime if he throws you under the bus. His word alone is not enough to get you in trouble. The police have to prove that you did anything wrong. They can get you with conspiracy if they find your secret messages though. I would leave the state and hide out, check the warrants every now and then. Shit if you got the money its a good excuse to leave the country and go somewhere that wont extradite you. What he got caught with is extremely serious and you should be worried becuase your best friend will rat you out if they face enough time.

Just ditch anything that is illegal or incriminating. Honestly I don't see why they would want to go through your friends phone unless he was some sort of kingpin or something.
