Going to get a lot worse. Younger generations are likely done for. My generation might survive to see the end coming.
Between the political damage Trumps done and not one thing going right in the world. Trump gave every stupid American a voice. The damage to international relations, the environment and the donestic agenda is epic.
Trump is Nixon in a cheap suit on a meth binge.

You can see the wall on google right where the W is in NW. Today’s work is to test the retractable portion that crosses 17th street.

Minutes after the Venetian city council voted down a resolution addressing the climate crisis Wednesday, the council chambers were filled with water for the first time in history, the result of unprecedented flooding in the city due to the highest tides in 50 years.

It’s amazing how far people will go to ignore what is happening right in front of them.
Venice is likely going to be lost. I can’t imagine there is a way to prevent permanent inundation

Don't worry. We're going to take care of all these pesky climate change problems as soon as it's economically feasible.

I live in Hawaii and the sheer number of people is astonishing on Oahu, considering the actual SPACE available here.
I just looked up sea level measurements.. https://sealevelrise.org/states/hawaii/
"The sea level around Hilo Bay, Hawaii, has risen by 10 inches since 1950. Its speed of rise has accelerated over the last ten years and it’s now rising by about 1 inch every 4 years.1 Scientists know this because the sea level is measured every 6 minutes using equipment like satellites, floating buoys off the coast, and tidal gauges to accurately measure the local sea level as it accelerates and changes."
An inch over 4 years is not bad, let's say it magnifies by 10.. TEN INCHES every four years... Still isn't going to wreck Honolulu.
Is the issue on the Mainland different than an island? I would think that a small island, such as Hawaii, would be especially fucked, fucked hard, and fucked sooner with this rising sea level stuff.
Regardless, I need to get off this rock. There are too many people here and no where to run when shit hits the fan!

The Greenland melt that happened this summer likely added 1/2 inch alone to sea levels. That’s 1/2 inch in a month.

So we either pump sea water over the ice wall or manufacture a massive sponge to soak up that 1/2 inch.
Problem solved.

It used to be normal to have a few handfuls of shrooms by the end of oct . The change in temp created enough fog drip to make them grow before the rain really became regular . That was years ago. Right now I’m wearing a tank top and shorts because winter just isn’t happening .

I'm sure our great leaders will get us nuked before climate change is any real threat.

Fun fact:
We're gonna run out of oxygen before we run out of fossil fuels.
Don;t worry about coal and oil, we got plenty to burn. Using current technology, we have access to enough fossil fuels to get the atmospheric concentration of CO2 to 0.5-1%, minimum.
Which just happens to be toxic to life as we know it.

You joke but that's pretty close to official policy position of a Canadian federal political party:
"In order to fight global warming, we will force all citizens to leave their windows open in the summer and to operate the air conditioning to the maximum."

Isn't it 10-20 times that before it's fatal to humans?
Of course length of exposure affects that as well.

at 0.1%, most people complain about odors. People start feeling sleepy around 0.25%, and you can expect health effects at about 0.5%. At 1-2% concentration, people start feeling drunk.
The above numbers are based on Air Force pilot studies, so healthy young adults in great shape. Granny ain't gonna do so well. Neither is baby.
