Hello all its my first post. I have been hanging out for a little while here trying to get informed before i do anything.
I have an amazing field two miles away from my house and it rained all weekend here in North Texas. Anyways go out the first dry day and walk into an amazing field, they are Everywhere and big!
They fit the description, growing in horse dung, spore print dark, slight purple/blueing. Look like the photos posted here and on erowid.
Im very nervous but am almost 100% this is it. I found 65 caps my first time yes!
WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG
They were nothing more than salad topers. DAMN DAMN DAMN.
Ate some and nothing. Ate a few more nothing. Tasted great, but I always have loved normal mushrooms.
Anyways if anyone is in North Texas and drops me a line I will respond. I have never gone a journey with shrooms before. I want the spirtuality that shrooms have that acid does not give you.
Had my whole house ready for an amazing trip and everything.
Any tips besides if you aren't 100% dont eat would be nice.
Thanks
N

Tips? Well:
1. Be carefull hunting on other peoples property.
2. If you thought you identified them right... but ended up being salad toppers then you need to learn how to identify mushrooms better, especially before eating them.
3. Bring a camera and take a bunch of pictures for us. We will be more than happy to help you identify them.
4.Good Luck

Any tips?
Yeah, go get the ones you ate IDed, mushrooms can take a couple days before you feel the symptoms coming on and by then it's usually too late, you're dead before any treatment can help.
good luck, hope to hear back from ya
Peace

Not only will "Curiosity Kill the Cat", but not having "Patience",will too!
Don't ever eat a mushroom just because "They fit the description, growing in horse dung, spore print dark, slight purple/blueing. Look like the photos posted here and on erowid.
Obviuosly you were not "positive"on the species or you wouldnt have to look! Then "curiosity"steps in> "I wonder if they will 'get me off'" And not having "patience" follows close behind as you eat them!
Well, you better be asking your "Higher Power" for a "Second Chance"!
I hope your ok buddy, and if you are you are luckier than a "puppy with 2 peter's"!

"Up in North Texas I found a few today but with the temp they were already really dry and damaged. Didn't even waste my time. I think it needs to heat up a little more but what the hell i have never gotten any and never done any so what do i know i just read alot. "
3 minutes after this post of finding 65 caps in a field everywhere and "BIG""
