If a person were to eat shrooms, but have a "bad trip" but yet become enlightended ecause of it, would you consider it to be "good" even thought the trip was so nice?

this doesnt just apply to 'shrooms, but and phycedelic(sp?)

If I still had the desire to eat shrooms in the future, I would say it's a good trip (overall).

If I was scared by the experience and felt like I never wanted to touch shrooms again, I would consider it a bad trip.

Most people here would say that one who tripped like that went through spiritual healing. Something that I tend to agree with  :3rd_eye: from personal experience.

A learning experience is never a bad thing. As long as you get something out of it, I would call it a successful "good" trip.

read someone on this messsageboard or somewhere say instead of callin it a bad trip a better thing ta say would be difficult trip. Even if you are scared shitless and you learn something then something postive came out of it and it ain't all "bad".

i like that, a difficult trip makes much more sence to me, because i have had many trips where i have had a hard time or came close to freaking out but i never thought it was bad. :mushroom2:

I would agree with this to some extent.

To tell you the truth, I try not to think of my own trips using the terms "bad" or "good." There are rough parts during some trips, but I wouldn't consider those rough parts to make the trip "bad," and I do learn something after every time.

Paraphrase:

If a person was to experience life but have a "bad-trip" yet become enlightened because of it, would you consider it "good" even tho the trip wasn't so nice?-

If I still had a desire to incarnate in the future, I would say it was a good trip overall-

A bad trip is healing?-

A learning experience is never a bad thing. As long as you get something out of it, I would call it a successful "good" trip.-

Even if you are scared shitless and you learn something then something postive came out of it and it ain't all "bad". -

A difficult life is more revealing -

:wtf:
