Oof. I feel ya man. I'm just hoping to get a couple zips of blobs/fruits off each mono before chucking, anything beyond that is a blessing.
Is that a current tub? You gonna try and get a good second flush (hopefully) out of it?

They are all cubes and all 2% malt. The PB is a PESA/ PE cross that me and a few friends have been working on. I think there's a Brazilian plate or two as well.

Anyone ever add tannin to there agar? I know it's good for warding off bacteria, molds for long term wine storage and is naturally prevalent in red wines from the grape seeds. Just looking if anyone has tried before I do. I think it may retard the myc growth due to it's anti mold properties but may be a good for sneaky bacteria if the cube myc is robust enough to carry on with it. I have lots of it from wine making but being I cannot drink anymore I'm wondering if I can supplement it in agar instead.

Damn. I need to learn to make wine Zappa. My grandpa used to make it when he was alive. He left the grape skins in it so I didnt care much for it when I was a kid. What's your recipe homie?

Just try dude. Make a control group. All I think when I hear Tannin is "Leather?". Dunno why you would add it. The trick with agar is getting it 1) clean 2) clear and nutrient sparse enough that you get the artful growth.

Never tried it in agar. I know tannins are used in freshwater aquariums to lower PH, mostly in Amazon river biotope tanks where brownish colored water and acidic PH are desired. So PH would definitely be something to consider.
