Datura. Be carefull. We had a member that spent a week or two in a coma because he accidentaly took to much of it. Do a search for "jimson weed" or "datura" to read more.

sounds more like brugmansia than datura to me...
Not safe to ingest at all, but very nice to look at DH

DH is right, That would be brugmansia. He's lucky to have got away with it, it has a VERY nasty rep. A german guy actually cut off his own tongue and penis with garden shears while on it just last year, and every trip report I've ever read was extremely bad.
