They look like some old grotty Lepista - perhaps blewits. Where are you? that will affect the species you would expect to find. Seeing one with the stem on would help to ID. Spore print should be pale pink to confirm.
-------------------- Disclaimer - I'm just a hobbyist and cannot absolutely guarantee any ID offered. I'm most familiar with the species found in the Pacific Northwest - those found in other parts of the world may vary considerably, so always do your own research to find out what grows in your area and what lookalikes you need to be aware of. Understand that many mushroom species cannot be 100% reliably identified by photographs alone, even by an expert, so it may not be possible to go beyond suggesting a probable genus.

They appear to be Lepista nuda. I looked for look-alike species, but the closest other Lepista species in appearance listed would have white, not lilac gills. They could be Lepista sordida, but that seems unlikely as they are all quite fat capped. Maybe someone in the UK will chime in and confirm this.
Spore print to be absolutely sure they are not Cortinarius, but I would be quite surprised it if were. A Cort would have a rusty brown spore print, a Lepista would be pale pink.

^^I agree.
Need to be more gentle with specimens you want to identify. Presenting broken up mushrooms can make things difficult.

Haha,
I'm really sorry this sounds a proper noob question but what is the best way to obtain a spore print? White paper and cover with a glass? For how long?
And if I'm quite honest I am looking for something that will make me trip so if this is worthless then don't worry 👍

Yeah I don’t see any veil remnants or rusty deposits so Cortinarius would surprise me as well. They’re not active though so if that’s all OP wants to know, that’s your answer.

Can be every bit as useful to learn about what you’re not looking for though.

They are definitely not active. They are either Lepista or Cortinarius species depending on the spore print colour - neither of which are active. And like the above posters, I am leaning towards Lepista.

Well, start by learning as much as possible about which active species might grow in your area. There’s not really a single rule for telling if a mushroom is active. The only way to know is to know which mushroom it is. That’s my advice, good luck.

Always take pictures of at least one whole, intact specimen to get the best basis for a good identification. Presenting already sliced up mushrooms like that is likely to diminish some of the macroscopic features that are very often crucial.
In this case it looks like Lepista (Clitocybe) nuda, but the odor should be fragrant and pleasant and is a giveaway of the species.
I'd suggest you try to obtain more of these and give us a whole one to look at. And of course a spore print.
