Pics from my morning walk. 03/11/19
    #26296477 - 11/03/19 02:09 PM (4 years, 4 months ago)

Like it says on the packet. Just a few pics from this morning. Feel free to identify if you have a hunch.
I know the Cyans and the Fly Agaric. The brown one is maybe Amanita Pantherina? Are the blue ones some sort of Milk Mushroom?

The brownish Amanita looks like A. amerirubescens - checking for reddish staining in the flesh would help though.

The blue ones are likely a Stropharia species, either S. caerulea or S. aeruginosa. Pictures of gills and stem in younger specimens would help.

Colour suggests A. rubescens. :gangsta2:

I assumed OP found them in North America. I see he's located in the UK, and thus A. rubescems is of course the correct name, although
I believe the two species are more or less identical otherwise.

I will look them up. I didn’t pick the Amanitas or the Stropharia, just a cpl of the Cyans. Didn’t look underneath as I usually break those types when doing that. I’ve only been hunting for about 3 years so your info on the pics will lead me down another path of knowledge I’m sure. It all helps, Thanks yeah.

ikr but colours suggests would be grammatically correct, and that is too awkward a gag; this gag was flawed from its inception.

Is there a gag? Maybe it is only visible in a microscope?

You sometimes have to break - or cut - mushrooms in order to identify them.

Or if you don't care, you can kick them to pieces, this is especially entertaining with Russula species, as they tend to explode.
