too long of a dunk?

Alright i have 3 jars that i forgot i had been dunking and now they have been in the water for about 2 1/2 days... i plan on taking them out today but was that too long of a dunk or will they still grow and be fine?

You can try,but I would think you have killed the Myceluim.If all else fails toss it in the ground outside.You never know,but 2 1/2 days is way too long.If you try it anyway,i would isolate it,it may be more prone to contams now.I wouldnt get my hopes up though.

haha ya but they are my only 3 cakes. Ive still got 2 casings, i just dont know how long it takes for mycelium to colonize on a casing. But thanks domey, so there still is hope.

Aproximately how long will a casing take to colonize to the point to where its ready to fruit. And about how long does it take to see my first pin after birthing a cake? I know numbers vary but im just wondering about. I also wanted to add one more question. On a casing am i suppose to poke holes in the tin foil i put over the pan. Ive heard that i am suppose to but it seems like contams would be able to get in.

I wouldnt case themEven if they did survive the dunk,they are going to be very very full of water after 60 +hours,a casing is going to #1 add more moisture,and #2 trap and retain moisure,it will probably contam or rot or something along those lines pretty quickly.

Yeah and also Butternutt Squash is the most tastiest of all squash when fried ...A well known fact here in the south

making a Squash casing works well,with 60/40 butter/salt.

How `bout 60/40 aqua coir perlite do with Cubbies? I threw 2 new sacks of verm away accidently Im pasturising the aqua coir w/perlite right now

Nobody has answered my post cause nobody knows....Im gona know because im fixing to case 12qts spawn {Jimmy Burma isolate}to several casings this way
