Well historically both colloquially and in general parlance that has never been the case until only very recently when people are trying to change words to fit certain social changes they wish to see.

Real talk bro, how often does this happen to you?
Because if it's a lot, maybe you should seek company in different social circles if it's such a big problem for you.
If it's never happened, maybe you're just afraid of something that's not actually a real issue?

Gender reveal parties are retarded, pointless and have only existed for like, a decade. We need to shitcan them before they gain any more traction. How many grandmas have to die?

I just think that's a bad look. The man I love has a hairy chest. I like his MALE clothes... Could it be because I am gay?!
It's the movements women are supposed to show to the men interested in them which dresses like that accentuate. I will wear some crazy outfit, but I'm not going to do anything knowing it will piss people off. I am okay confusing people with a toga, although I haven't done it, but togas look very male if it is a male toga... I know three people whom have detransitioned. I was a staunch supporter for them when they were trans. I would argue it and win, and I know all the arguments concerning it. They were all trans men. I have had in depth conversations with two trans women who transitioned later in their life (both had multiple kids). Both are above the age of 45. I believed them the most. I think there is something about this that is not being said, and I do not dispute it being a real thing, but there are still differences between the sexes that cannot ever be understood by either. This is the whole point of homosexuality. The only counter to this is transitioning children, and it is happening more often to simply lesbian and gay boys and girls. Just because a boy is effeminate does not mean he wants a vagina. I wanted to dress up in some girls clothes when I was young, but I never wanted to be seen that way in public. Trans women are actually insulted when they are called a transvestite, which is a drag queen. It is really for the case of weeding out those gays who may end up dabbling in drag and expressive androgyny. And for lesbians... I have heard such a tragic story from two of my friends. Screwing with gender is too far. Very very few people are actually trans. It is real, but it is useful to understand something about. It has actually absolutely radicalized people once again against gay people, and those right wing pundits say it is evidence of the "slippery slope" they pointed out before gay marriage. Trans men lastly treat my husband and I as if we are... what is the word... cute. As in... In a superficially nice way, and really it seems like there is an elephant there about who is the legitimate man... I don't know. All I can say is trans men have mostly treated me like shit. I am always nice. I personally defended them... I think it has something to do with homosexuality, perhaps exactly the the homosexuality in them that has been transformed. As someone who studied psychologically intensely, I cannot help but remark upon these observations.

I take no pleasure in saying such a thing, and I am aware that someone would think perhaps even me having said that is evidence of a misstep. I constantly see the way certain things are said aligning with exactly the sort of episteme I think is a source of pain and suffering, and something that actually maintains the very problems people are talking about here in these threads

I'm pretty sure a Constitutional Republic is much better, but that's just my opinion, I guess.

A Constitutional Republic has elements of democracy, of course. That doesn't make it the same thing, however. The point of a Constitution is to reduce tyranny of the majority. One could argue that one purpose/benefit of a republic over a democracy is that it also adds another layer of protection from tyranny of the majority, although I believe this to be very dicey.

https://boredbat.com/u-s-oil-production-hit-a-record-under-joe-biden/
Quote:
As 2023 comes to a close, the United States is producing more oil and more natural gas than ever before, even in the face of efforts by government planners to force a move to other, greener, sources of energy. In fact, thanks to a major uptick in per-well recoveries in shale wells, the US is now producing more oil per day than any single nation has ever achieved. The fact that this has all been accomplished despite a domestic rig count that dropped by well over 20% during the year, according to Enverus, makes this one of the most remarkable outcomes in the industry’s long history.
This outcome becomes even more remarkable given that it comes amid a presidential administration whose leaders repeatedly stress their desires to end the industry within a decade and serves as a reminder of the industry’s extraordinary resilience. In a piece I wrote here in March, 2021, I noted, “The history of the oil and gas business in the United States is that every time the ‘experts’ all line up to declare it to be dead, it finds a way to come roaring back.”
Sort of a lose-lose for Sleepy Joe. Anybody with a rational mind knows we need to dial this back, and the Repubes aren't going to believe it because gas prices are high.

It took the a long period of time to switch from leaded to unleaded gas, that's a panty waste compared to what needs to happen. Unless the grid gets a massive overhaul, mass public transit is a thing, etc....we ain't gonna do shit because I have yet to see anything substantial, in most states.
In China you can buy a decent electric car for around $12,000, think electric car tariffs here are around 30%... innovation and modernization takes time, but it seems at best, this is lip service and the impetus is smokescreen.

It's not even possible for electric cars to replace gas powered vehicles. There's not enough lithium in the world.

That's some imagination. In development technologies will render this moot, regardless. Iron-Air batteries being the current leading contender.
