That's a huge can of worms as far as sports is concerned.
I could care less what someone identifies as but there has to be line drawn where the rubber meets the road of reality. There is a very good reason why there are women's and men's leagues,,, I don't see no mention of an appropriate trans league to fill the void.
It is going to be a shit show and I wouldn't doubt if the female athletes lead the charge. Why compete if the match is already rigged right?

But some people do and billions are invested on them.

I would say much less. It was a complete novelty situation. We had heard of sex change operations in Sweden but not here. I'm sure there was some ridicule but she was not considered a threat. More recently, some conservatives feel very threatened by this and feel compelled to speak out about something that is none of their business. When people limit their criticisms to the athletic competition issue, I think that's a legitimate point.
Another one from back then, actually the late 60's, was Walter Carlos, a musician who had a hit album called Switched on Bach, playing the classical on a moog synthesizer. Walter came out as Wendy Carlos in 1972.

People wanted equality we got it. An this not a big deal transgender women are just as much as women as biological women so i dont see why people are so mad over something that is nothing.
