 Class Action Settlement Check?

So i was checking my mail, and i got a letter which consisted of a check for a "class action settlement". Has anyone ever got one of these before? Is it a clever scam or something?
I mean, the check is only $91 so i doubt its a scam. Just curious on why i recieved it.

I assume there should be some additional ID as to the company or attorney, but In the past, did you ever sign up for something like “Did you own a Zune, or movie pass or (product here) between the dates of some date and another date?” Or other similar Did you own a product or use a certain service within certain dates.
Whenever a class action lawsuit is settled in court, it’s settled for all the people who have been damaged, not just those bringing the claim. Once a settlement is agreed upon the attorneys need to or like to (not sure, not a lawyer) allow time for everyone who was effected to sign up to collect their bit before it’s closed and checks sent out, which could take years.

I think I might have did something related to that, some kind of questionnaire. But I cant be sure.
There was a contact number, maybe I will call them and find out more.
Or I guess I could just look up the case name: Scharfstein v. BP WCP, LLC, Case No. 1112-17046.

Many class action law suits are available to enter online. I forget the exact website but one lists them all that require no proof of purchase for pay out, years ago I would spend 30 minutes every month filling them out.
Once my friend qualified for one I didn't, I think he had flown on a particular airline, and got a $100+ in the mail after not believing it works like that.
I didn't stick to it but got a handful of checks for all different amounts.

In my experience, the settlement amounts are often so low as to hardly be worth your time signing up. But dang, $91... you must've ran a ton of debit charges at Arco!

Haha.
Apparently it was a "blanket" or "fixed" amount, so everyone who used a debit card at ARCO-AM/PM got that amount as indicated by the article. Would be cool if it was the exact amount i actually was scammed of.
Youre probably right about the time spent, but Im curious of this whole new world of class action settlements.

I've received several of them for 2 or 3 dollars. I got one for I think $36 because my craftsmen lawn mower wasn't really 6.75hp.
