Its a clone I been rocking for awhile, same one as middle pic in my sig its just been colder at night, every once in a while they come out a little more mutant than normal, might be a minor bacterial contam or something but ~1400 wet grams off 4.5 qts so
Made some prints too I want to stabilize this pheno eventually

Some AA+ knocked up 10 days ago shaken 5 days. Inoculated with 10cc LC. I know it is a littl much for one jar but ended up needing an extra syringe or the amount of jars i had. figured I would max it out and see.

Cultivation has ceased...operations dismantled, currently reassembling all projects...restarting from foundations...agar wedges from now on, no more dirty spawn, no more needles for inoculation...I promise

You still using wbs verum? Used to love some wbs. Only reason I went to oats is that I would always get small pieces all over my feet. It made such a mess lol.
Wbs is one of the faster colonizing grains in the jar and when you spawn to bulk subs.

Yep, Texas Orange Cap. Been running this clone for a while now but the last couple runs put off tons of tiny fruits. I went back to the slant and now she's that far on grain. And looking good.
Yeah eat, I likes me some bird food. It's the cheapest grain around here (besides oats which are about the same price but i like bird food better for myriad reasons) and it's easy as balls to prep. It does make a mess though. Fo shizzle.

There are two ways i prep wbs. One is basically foo's tek but i let the seed soak in hot water as the other water boils. I do this because i found the foo's tek left me with a ton of burst grain and sometimes sticky spawn. I figured this was due to the extreme temp flux that occurs upon dumping boiling water on room temp grain. I tried it once and it worked well so i kept on doing it. Once the water on the stove boils, i turn it off and go dump the hot water off the seed. The floaters come out with it. I used to watch the temp of the boiled water and wait for it to drop to 200 but now i just know how long it takes. Then i dump it in and put a lid on it. Walk away and do something for around an hour (or five). Then i just strain it medium well and it works in bags and jars, with LC or agar.
The other way is just an overnight hot water soak and then a minimal strain.
I guess i should just take some pics next time and make ANOTHER wbs tek. I put it off for a while because i don't want to just pump out teks that the shroomery is full of already. But, to be honest, I don't know of a tek that shows the way i do it so.... maybe a will.
Edit: Damn that had a lot of typos in it. I'm exhausted.
also, in the name of respecting the spirit of the thread. I snapped a pic of the day.

I have been using WBS clean floters and sunflower seeds. Rinse until clear and soak 24hr drain 10-20min then pc for 3hrs. You can put gypsum in on top of it when soaking I was but ran out. Haven't noticed to much difference in growth with out it.

I always throw some pickling lime in my warm water bath and rinsed well and it always came out perfect! I bring the water to a rolling boil. Then turn it off. Pickling lime gets the gunk off the seed.

I've really been wanting one of those but I'm afraid it'll make the more delicate fruits break/the caps break off. What's your experience? How strong is the vacuum?
