hey, i am also from melb...and i have recently come across just one single sub by itself...very similar to the little one (that ended up in your stomach!) and i've been checking on it every day..so that when its bigger i can get a spore print, but it hasnt grown at all since i first spotted it, am i able to get a spore print off of it while its still so small?

Ferret picked about thirty to forty at one of his spots in melb, so they are already creeping up - but the days where you see them at practically ever garden bed you walk past are in late may early june

fresh - who friggen knows, vary in potency sooooo much that its tough getting dose right.. although a general rule of thumb is 10 small/medium ones will have you quite out there

Ive found subs where my friend and i ate two each and they were brain breakers - other times we have needed twenty ish to get the same effect - it really depends...They are highly potent though. Ferret has a few good locations where heaps are already up and growing. We also found a few flys and lactaria.

Man i'm gonna have to pick some soon, it hasn't even been 2 weeks and i'm craving them.
Damn rain is what we need, i want to stock up so i can trip in summer.
I think the first subs of the season are stronger and apparently weighed up to same amount small subs are more powerful than larger subs. Also i think that in dryer conditions subs won't turn as blue or show and blue at all but in the wet they show heaps.
Anyone want to add their thought on what i last said?

Yep they're P.subaeruginosa smiley... Nice find! Lots of variation in morphology even in shrooms of the same size (seems characteristic of subs), and those shrooms may differ quite a bit in potency by 'weight' too ... as you probably know, subs are one of the strongest (most psilocin/ psilocybin for weight) shrooms in the world, so don't have too much by accident! I would dry them and chop them up into a homogenous mix before consuming/ sharing them, so any stronger shrooms are evenly dispersed/ everyone has the same experience, and that way if you save some you will be able to fairly reliably estimate the potency of it...

And Beam, I think the the first shrooms of the season may be stronger because they are dryer, and even maybe the first fruits from a mycelium 'root' stock may get the optimal amount of nutrients etc, helping them to produce the chemicals that make them happy, in abundance... One thing is for sure, the dry little subs around Melbourne at the moment are very strong !! Also, re the blue bruising issue and wet shrooms, my humble guess is that this may actually have to do with how easilly the flesh of a really hydrated mushy is damaged compared to a dryer one... the flesh of well hydrated shrooms kind of crumples under any sort of pressure (when picked, for example), but a dryer shroom is remarkably resistant to flesh damage... also, water promotes oxidation if I remember the hypnotic/ sleep inducing words of my chemistry teacher correctly ...

Bad Photo? Oh come one guys, its not that bad... jusskidn...
I've already dried them and grinded them into powder, so the stregnth consistency should be there.... They are quite strong, but i have had stronger ( a variety i picked last year that changed from blue to akmost black in five mintues of picking them..), but that's probly related to variants in locations etc...
Anyways, cheers dudes... may yr day be full of shrooms
