Anyone who’s grows melmac please chime in, are these ready or should I wait till am to chop? Or longer? My buddy wants em tomorrow but I’d make him wait another day if I thought I’d get more weight out of it. My first two totes of it were decent yield but I’m worried I might have cut early. Leaving tomorrow AM and wont be back till following evening, guess I could leave em and see what happens but some advice would be nice (heres looking at you pasty;) )
So hard to tell because they are dropping veils but might chunk up a bunch still?
IDFK, bueller?

Those look like they have another day before you start getting spores all over.

It was a figure of speech, my apologies, it looks like they are going to start opening up in a day or so. I always like to get them shortly after the majority of them open up their caps. And yes i have grown melmac when I first started cultivating, mine never made it to spore but they were overall pretty good. But mine also looked thicker and less number of mushrooms in my tubs.

Haven't grown it, but those can definitely go longer, IMO. They get wrinkly like regular PE and that's always been a good indicator of harvest time, IMO. Here's a post for reference by Pasty.

They were spawned on 22nd and have been fruiting for at least a week, what a wierd variety. They are getting knobby and veils are tearing but I’m curious to see what happens if I push it, I saw pasty’s tub that why I asked for his input. Couldnt find any pics of it any earlier to compare the phenotype he’s running to mine. I grew out a ms tub of them already and the fruits that got super chunky from ms developed different than these clones did. I’ll wait till AM to chop since I’m gonna be be out of town for a couple days. But I’m letting the next tubs go longer just to see what happens If they dont release spores like crazy why not right?

Definitely bacterial, but it's definitely best to wait until 100% before G2G. Hard to tell because that picture sucks, but looks like green at the very bottom.

It looks like theres a lot of moisture in there and the mycelium is really thick/icecream bacterial kinda looking.
I spawn jars like that and usually get fruits but I wouldn't G2G if it were me.

These really arent bad compared to that first jar that one was really not worth a g2g
And it may just be the angle and the way the grain looks it's hard to tell give it a day if it colonized then it's not but if it stays wet looking like that then its bacteria
