Good to know. Thanks!

You shouldnt have to be bottom watering as much as you are, especially before the first flush. Misting maybe, depending upon your conditions. I didnt read all the way from the top but did you use a casing layer?

I did an early casing layer 50/50 Peat/Verm/Gyp.
I started bottom watering when the substrate started pulling away from the sides and to support the pinset/blobs that are developing. I grow these in my room, which has a good amount of air flowing through, and thus it dries out fairly quickly. Another reason why I'm bottom watering is due to how long this PE grow has been colonizing, which is roughly 3 weeks before pins showed up. I'd imagine that it lost a good amount of water in those 3 weeks with the lid flipped from the beginning.
Could bottom watering potentially screw up the growth of pins? It's not pooling at the bottom. All the water got soaked up by the substrate. I've used about a cup of water over the coarse of 3 days.

If its drying out on top, def mist, but bottom watering shouldnt be necessary if your sub was properly hydrated. If you're worried water content, you could always soak your colonized grain for 10-15 before spawning.
The reason the sub pulls away from the side is because the mycelium is consolidating and starting to consume the nutrients in preparation to form fruit bodies, and because its run out of room to grow. I bottom water my subs after i harvest the first flush and subsequently after that, but if prepared properly, you shouldnt have to before hand.
Are you adding gypsum to your sub as well? Did you pasteurize your casing layer? Casing layers should be mostly non-nutritive compared to the sub, so i think you could forego that addition and save some product.

Didn't add gypsum to the sub but I did add Gyp to the casing.
Casing was pasteurized and is non-nutritious. Clocked in at ~7.5 PH level. Peat/ Coarse Verm / Gypsum mix.
And yes, I've been lightly misting the surface until it glistens. Repeat when surface is dry again.
I'll stop bottom watering for now.
More and more pins popping up, albeit the existing pins are growing slowly.

Update on Tub #1 (4th week since spawning),
Didn't get the pinset I wanted. It's like half mutants and half regular PE. Shrooms are growing really slowly. I'm thinking that the caps will open in a 3-4 more days, not sure if they will get taller though.
Any thoughts?

It looks good. The super wavy cap seen in the last picture is due to being extremely wet.

Thanks
Yea, not sure what's going on with that one since I haven't been misting too much.

First Flush complete! It's more than I had expected. They really exploded the last 2 days.
Total weight of first flush: 1080g Wet

Check out the big ones!

Fully Harvested

Weight

Starting second flush (hopefully)

Couldn't get all the aborts and mutants, there are just too many of them.
