NBA 2019-2020

Well since pre-season is a week away and some Aussie guy really got into it with Team suck, the USA, with respect for the Aussies beating them, I will start this thread for those interested in the upcoming NBA season and want to let their voice be heard.
First headline that made me want to start this.
"Kobe won you them rings" Lillard from the Blazers.
"All the money in the world but traded you for Penny,".
Shaq and Kobe and down the road Lebron all in L.A. and Hollywood bullshit.
Lillard is still playing and in his prime, I don't care about the has been players or stupid raps.
So who is your team? Who do you think will win in the end? How do you like the new free agents and teams? No K.D. this year and Golden State was fine without them if healthy? Age?
What do the fans think of this upcoming season? Do you like your team or despise them? I like mine just fine. As exciting as the NFL preseason as in boring but soon the real games will start. Thoughts on the season ahead?

"I think it's definitely fun," he said. "It's exciting. I don't really pay as much attention as I used to because I realize how many people don't know what the hell they're talking about when you start talking about basketball."
Like that quote from Green from the Warriors. But not picked to win it all for the first time in years. Anyone guess who is?

NBA's 30 teams rated from top contenders to bottom tier.
Wow, what a difference a year makes especially with Golden State being that low. And seeing the Lakers that high, been a long time.

Would like to see the Bucks win the East. Hope Asaisondnh stays with them for his career. But money would be on Phillie. East is shit as usual.

Phillie is impressive. Biased towards the West. If healthy not like Iverson days but think they could give the West a challenge in the Finals. Taking them in the East. Please stay healthy. Talking to you Joel.

Thanks for starting the thread man. Was about to start it myself but you beat me to it.
Very exciting season ahead.
Pelicans are going to impress. And I'm no bandwagon jumper. I've been a fan since the Baron Davis era. Actually since the muggsy and Larry Johnson era.
Even though we smashed the hawks I think they will surprise in the east. Good young core and I really like Cam reddish.
Ben simmons can shoot!! Going to be them and bucks for the east but west just too stacked to pick.
Clippers should be favourites. Warriors will stay in the mix. Jazz look good and will do well with Conley at the point. Denver too will make noise. Actually think if he stays healthy that porter jnr will be in Roy race. (but it will he Zion's)

Really doesn't matter who the O.P. is, just getting the season going. We only have one pro team in Utah so reading the local paper on line got me into it early.
You seem like an informed fan and I agree with your views reading your posts. Wondering how Zion will do but glad Drew Brees gave him the keys to the city of New Orleans as they share the same workout facility which I thought was cool.
Getting an Ingles jersey as everyone has Mitchell ones here. Plus I will get to wear some cool Aussie hats and will look up what to wear underneath it. Following him and my team know he will notice me and after draining a three give me a look and point at me, lol.
Going to be fun year ahead in the NBA world. East sucks every year. Going with the Bucks though how long has it been since they made a finals even with the Greek Freak? Though Phillie could beat them. If they match up in the Eastern Conference Finals is the only playoff series from the East I will watch. West is tough as always. Will be interesting what the Lakers do and Warriors when Klay gets back around the all-star break.
We have hated L.A. since the Magic Johnson and Kareem days here. But personally I dislike San Antone more with belated respect to Pop as one of the greatest coaches ever. Glad they are picked to barely make the playoffs and that their runs are done with championship, but what a great run for them as a fan of the game I respect.
On with the games.

Amusing nowadays. Used to be a lot of sports fans and now one died and others have drifted of to whatever they are doing in life. Most were great and followed it. Not a judgement on the Sports forum, just I like Pop.

Zion seems to have embraced the city. I guess what Brees told him is working. Wish I could actually go over there to see a game (20+ hours on a plane with three young kids. No going to happen anytime soon)
I wouldn't say I hate any team but yeah I don't like Lakers. Especially after that whinny monobrow left us to join them. Though if that didn't happen the pelicans wouldn't have the same team the do now.
I'm lovng to lonzo to Zion connection they are developing. But all of the team has such an energy now. I can't believe we got Derick favors. He was such a work horse for Utah.
Yeah ingles has really proved himself in the league. It's probably the strongest Aussie presence the NBA has ever had. I know bogut was the 1st Aussie to go #1 but there wasn't that many others making an impact until the last five years or so.
Wear anything green and gold. That's Australia's sporting colours. And start chanting "Aussie Aussie Aussie, oi oi oi". He will notice that for sure.

Wow. Not much else to say. I understand a lot of Americans are patriotic and as a nations leader you should be but that's a bit harsh to call out the coaches like that.
It's the start of the season. Their focus should be on getting their teams prepped.
I still can't believe trump is president. But Australia can't really talk. We have had like six different leaders in the last decade but only three elections.(we vote for the party not the person) and none of them have really done anything good.
Sorry off-topic from basketball. But I could really go on about Aussie politics especially with China being such a huge trade partner with us. And I would certainly have a little more tact than trump..

Hey barns you knew I would have to comment after that game. What a score line though. Jazz look good too. Conley adding another layer. But man zion is a machine.

Zion will get fouled hard af if he goes inside that much in the regular season. Heās good but he aināt Shaq. Even if he hits his free throws his body wonāt be able sustain that kind of abuse.

That was always going go be plan to stop him. But what I like about Nola is the spread of talent on the team. So if zion is getting fouled lots he has the vision to dish it out and guys will pick up the slack. BI is going to have a breakout year and jrue has been given the green light for play selfishly. The other rookie Alexander-walker can ball too. He will be getting a lot more minutes than people first thought.

People were really down on this rookie class saying its only a 3 player draft. But there's certainly more rookies that are going to shine. Tyler herro is shoot the lights out. Nickeil Alexander-walker is a steal. Pretty big on Coby white too.

Love how the Bucks have the most bars in the nation. Seriously. And will see them this season and then up to Green Bay. Wisconsin, it's awesome.

Yeah it sucks. But I like that the others stepped up. The pelicans depth is so good for a team that that just lost their franchise star.
I said it before. Nickeil AW is the steal of the draft. Watch nicolo melli get a fair few minutes now too. Great under the radar signing.
One week to go!!
