Myc or popcorn goo?

Hey all--

About a week ago I innoculated a jar of popcorn that I prepared via fractionated sterilization...check out this link to read up on it: Fractionated Sterilization Experiment

It looks kinda funky now and I'm not sure if this is myc or popcorn goo or some kind of contam. Check out the pic...

Well, imo, that jar is done for. I'd def say that its contam, the jar looks very wet(probably contam waste products) and there doesn't seem to be a single whisp of healthy mycelium growing in it. Does it smell odd? That kinda goo is never good.

That is a bacteria contam that is common on grains.  :frown:

Phooey. Well if anyone looked at the fractionated ster exp thread, I used un-innoculated controls to see whether the sterilization was completed. Because none of these jars contaminated, I guess it was when I was doing the g2g that they got contamed.

i had problems with bacterial contam when i started doing grains.
i changed brands of WBS,problem solved.
