Been using this to control a 750w ( 1500w capacity) space heater, love the remote, you can place it wherever you want. Been using these for  2 years now, awesome, and keeps temp within 2 degree F. $20 amazon.
I keep my house cool in the winters, does wonders for a confined area, or bigger.

Ive been meaning to get me one of those but wasnt sure if I needed the solid element over the coil to support the weight.

This is a solid unit, this coil is supported by a " Y" brace, just like a typical stove burner, she can hold the weight. Took me a while to find something, but located the perfect auxiliary device. I cook alot, so needed the commercial outfit, don't get something for $25. For $125, I already know I'll be getting another.Pic looks out of proportion- PC not that tall, 22 qt on there.

Less of a tool post and more of a tool question:

Its come time for me to add a 2nd pressue cooker in the mix. The hot plate dude above me got has me thinking....

Instead of getting the same one i have, a trusty 23qt presto, should i go with the new induction presto and an induction top? I dont have the money for an AA or something that qualifies as a true sterilizer, but i do have enough for the 80$ induction presto and the 40$ induction cooktop at my local walmart. The reason this is appealing is because i can set the temp, and the time, meaning i can start the cycle and actually go to bed and allow shit to cool, instead of waiting up for 3 hours just to turn off the stove.

Just wondering if this sounds like a solid idea, or if anyone else has done just this. Any effect on sterilization from induction cooking?

Personally, I would never go to bed with a pressure cooker on the stove, let alone some big heating element, asking for trouble. Like leaving a full kitchen stove on, not worth the risk. I saw the newer PCs for induction cooker, haven't tried.

I understand that i guess. The point of this new plate would be so that it could turn itself off though.

I've run my pressure cooker for over 3 hours at least 50 times, i guess i just have alot of trust in it to not malfunction. I wouldnt use something if i didnt feel comfortable leaving it alone

I just got an AA 75x, plugged it into this timer: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MVDTEXS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1.

As soon as it hits the green zone (after purge), I set the timer for 4 hours and ignore it till the next day.  I'd do the same (except with a 2 hr time) for an induction/PC combo.

I hear ya, probably over 2000 hours on the stove just this year myself. Your call, I just can't support that idea, nor should newbies even consider it. If you're gonna go  that route, I most certainly wouldn't buy a $30 unit, and would do several test runs.

If I went that route, I would buy an additional timer, plug directly into the outlet, short, big guage electric cord, then into the heating unit. An additional timer that  can handle the wattage, should the built in timer  of the unit fail, and set for 10 minutes later. I use to grow lots of cannabis, talking 30,000 watts, timers fail. Anything electrical fails at some point or another.

that same company has a model with a solid cast iron element. Its a little spendier.

Also @ the timer.  I dont rely on spring wound timers anymore. At least at my house there is soo much dust, sand and dirt that gets tracked around that they start jamming and I overcook my grains.  Been using a digital wall outlet timer I just wired into an extension chord that my pc plugs into

I saw the cast iron plates, look nice as well! Just don't know the heat up time and cool off time on those ( as well as sensitivity when you want to adjust heat quickly) and cleanability in general. All I can say at this point, this coil style can easily handle the weight. ( For photo only, I wouldn't use it at this spot)

Picked up this 16” impulse sealer for $20 (including shipping) on offerup. If anyones interested homie still has like 4 more hes selling. Its a 2mm heating element which should be fine for the 5lbs bags im doing, but was wanting 5mm seal.

Ended up grabbing a replacement parts kit from amazon and installing the 5mm element, but even on the highest setting, wasnt forming a complete seal on a test bag. Oh well, guess ill prolly just end up making 2 2mm seals anyway just in case.

what do you do about the vacuum created in the 75x? I haven't started first grow yet and bought in big to start by getting the 75, but was concerned about not being on site when done so as to open control valve at 1 to 0 psi. I dont have flowhood, so sab until upgraded (convincing partner for an xmas present, is the plan:D)

Those rigs are really nice. I’ve wanted to check those out. I love cooking with gas but wish I could sterilize with electricity.

Last winter when I was running multiple pc loads a day my electricity bill started getting pretty ridiculous...

I would love to find something I could fit into my routine that uses gas
