That's a nice collection you got there ArcadeDuck
Well done Hefee. Looking forward to the results
@Bumholio: Get some council woodchips with mycellium. Spray it twice a day, after 2 months it'll start pinning, (low amounts though)

My first attempt is showing results
I've no idea what variety it is - the guy who sent the me prints simply said they were cubes.
This is what's currently going on in my grow cupboard:
Pictured: several tubs of cubes, lophophora and trichocereus seedlings, and oyster mushroom spawn in the white bucket.
P.S. To everyone who expressed interest in splitting an order of SFDs, my apologies – I've had to shelve that plan for now due to a recent unexpected expense. If anyone's up for making the order instead, I would still put in for 20.

I believe you are talking about mylar. Mylar is available at most grow stores or online. Bod is using emergency blankets by the looks of it.

What is the mylar for? Insulation of your grow setup?

I just saw these SFDs from China on ebay, 50 pcs delivered for NZD $68. Not sure about their thickness, but they're PTFE with a pore size of 0.22 microns.
Originally I was only raising cactus seedlings in the cupboard, and the reflective foil was to make the most of the lighting. It's only recently that I decided to grow MS in there too. Obviously each does best under different environmental conditions, so I'm going to find another place to raise the seedlings, and use the cupboard solely for MS.

Much more effective painting the surface flat white. The mylar tends to reflect light off in random directions unless its perfectly smooth.

I have been trying to get my hands on one for ages! so i can cut it and print it, then experiment with growth, i'm thinking of getting some whitey wood and putting it into a chipper and then using that with something else as a Substrate! i'll experiment with coir/verm at different ratios with the Whitey wood.
And psilocybiNZL My PE is going well! i have one monotub which the longest one is about a finger long now, i also have 2 more monotubs cultivating now, and a little experiment of mine going on the side.
I also have 8 little lunch trays going in my Fridge fruiting chamber as a test of dialing it in, i have had some hicups here as my fans keep breaking due to the high humidity, i need to order more.
I have made 4 jars of LC and spore prints if border's tighten too much
I look forward to making a bunch and then storing them away for myself to last a while, then i'll do another batch when i start to run out, i imagine they will last a while if stored well, i am thinking of powdering and then mixing with honey, also i have some pill jars with decadent stored in the lids, maybe i can store some in these jars too.
Let me know if there is a better way! i am sure there is!

Weraroa won’t print as they don’t eject spores.
You will ned to clone a piece of flesh to agar. . .

that's why you cut them first, they don't eject them but i'm sure you can cut it horizontally or vertically and then print it, either that or swab it.

I got some more disc today and a splitter, but my 24v power supply i suspect does not have enough amps to power my 4 disc total now, what power supply are you using to power 8 of them?!
It can power 2 tho which is great, so now i have my fruiting chamber at a toasty 23.5-24 degrees Celsius at all times while maintaining near 100% humidity, it just takes a few mins after heating to get back to the correct humidity.
I'm also thinking of replacing my Fan heater with a towel heater, keep the whole unit more enclosed inside, i think a towel heater could keep it warm in there.

The splitter is rated for 12V which I ignored, which seems to be working fine with 24V. . .
The power supply I bought is 24V 5A which is ample for 8 x 0.15A = 1.2A with heaps of redundancy. . . Oddly, the plain black foggers are rated at 0.8-1A which would be too much?
