advice on finding liberty caps?

Hey!
I'm from Ireland and am a beginner for mushroom hunting!
I think the fields around me are the perfect place, have sheep grazing in them, wet climate.
Just want some advice in identifying them?
I found one i thought looked like a liberty cap so currently doing a smore test.
Any advice is greatly appreciated!


Habitat:
Where does it grow? Eg. woods, pasture, state, province, country, altitude, etc. What does it grow on? Eg. soil, dung, wood (dead, living, what kind of wood?), etc.

Gills:
Color, attached/not, gills/pores, etc.

Stem:
Length, diameter, color, texture, hollow/solid, thin/thick, etc.

Cap:
Diameter, color, texture, conical/spherical, convex/concave, etc.

Spore print color:
Very important!

Bruising:
Color that the mushroom bruises, if any.

Other information:
Scent of the mushroom, anything else you think is important, large close-up pictures showing stem, cap and gills.

Liberty caps are quite small mushrooms that like to grow on rotten grass on fields that grazing animals such as sheep cows horses have frequented. The cap starts off an olive colour turning cream yellow as they dry out. The stems of libs are usually warped, curved and quite slender.

The stems are actually quite pliable so wrapping round the finger will not break the stem. The cap most of the time has a pointed umbo/nipple. Liberty caps also have a gelatinous pelicle (Film like layer on cap). The spore print is purple/brown. They frequent high altitude places such as moorlands. Golf courses are apparntly a good spot to look also.

Make sure you're not mixing them up with Conocybe apala. Edit: they're TOXIC, and it's not what you're looking for. They look similar to liberty caps and grow in grassy fields too but unlike liberty caps they're super delicate and will give you a cinnamon brown spore print instead of a sturdy stock and purple/black spore print.

I've heard that they are prolific under the tufts of taller grass that often dot pastures and gazing land.

Apparently, they are toxic, containing phallotoxins similar to the ones found in Amanita phalloides.
