Favorite Weed Strains * 1

Just wondered what people's fave strains were and why? I've only recently started vaping it occasionally over the last couple fo years. I don't use it much because it interferes with dreams but when I do I like trippy energetic strains.

So far my faves have seen Silver Haze and Kali Mist.  Both enchance music a ton for me, making it spread around the room and sound quite trippy and they don't have a sleepy comedown which a lot of indicia heavy strains can have.

Next on my list to try is some pure land race sativa :smile:

I'd get a lot of shit for this, but I enjoyed M39 that was grown and flushed well.  Only around 16% THC, skunk NL5 cross.

Good weed is good weed but I enjoy staying power.  Also a lot of new strains have trichromes with long stalks.  Long stalks make the flower look white, but under a scope you can see it's a lot of stalks.

Had some good local 'Hawaiian'.  One was indoor local grown and another came in a dole can.  That was a long time ago as well.

Today's shit looks like crap.  Some looks good, but a lot looks like crap and means nothing to me.  Lot's of hype and commercialization.  A lot like beer, sometimes a simple beer is quite nice.  No need for lot's of hops and high abv.  Potency doesn't mean you'll use less.  It does at a sweet spot and that place is different among different folks.

I really like this rare strain called death star that's pretty hard to get a hold of unless you get a clone. it's parent "sensi star" has a high Terpinolene content (a rare terpenoid) which could account for it's especially euphoric high I highly recommend it. https://www.leafly.com/news/strains-products/least-common-terpene-terpinolene-effects

I've heard of it.  I don't remember much but it's older.

So many great finds have been lost.  Cuts get old after awhile too, and lose vigor.

They sure do it's sad. It's apparently a stain that originated in Ohio in the early 2000's as a cross between sour diesel (one of everyone's favorites) and sensi, here's some more limited info: https://www.ncsm.nl/strain/death-star. I tried it back in 2017 in Colorado but not sure how much it's changed it was a really nice high though.

Sensi star was popular cause it was a seed vendor strain.  Ecsd was a cut so only so many had it.

I have a ton of favorites. All are Sativas except one (love thoze trippy strains).

Some of my favorites: White Widow, Blueberry, Agent Orange, Dawgy Treats, Girl Scout Cookies, Dutch Treats, Golden Ticket, Apricot Octane, Blueberries and Cream, Sour Diesel, Durban Poison, and Colorado Sunshine.

I had some skunkman durban x skunk.  Tried to flower her in a window with make shift black out.  She started to flower but hermied.  Can't get those seeds anymore and she was a freebie.  At the time also tried to grow bagseed the same way and time.  That was some dense fruity stuff.  The plant had nice indica leaf.  No idea what that was.  The herb was good.

Long time ago I had a  250w hydro cabinet.  Hydro wasn't the best to learn.  If I had the cab again I could do a better job.  It only had 3' tall and pretty much had to flower as soon as roots were stable.  I was lost in a deep world of information.  If I did it again I'd just maxibloom the grow.  Start some veglings under cfl until sex showed then flower cuts with zero days veg.  3 days in hydro makes all too much difference.  Widow clones 4x stretch in hydro.

Blue cheese, silver haze and amnesia haze are my favourites.

Weed is still illegal here in germany, so it's hard to get the desired strains. You only get what is available at the time.
