Dude!..i hear wbs is the shit and have seen some serious yeilds but dnt see why. Does it colonize faster due to an increased amount of inoculation points over grain or something?

WBS is great because it is stupid easy/quick to prep, has lots of inoculation points, and is about as cheap as oats/wheat/etc if you find the right source for it
I have only ever worked with wbs, nothing else, but I get great yields from wbs spawn and I'm confident it yields just as well as anything else

White millet was like $12/50lb. I just didn't care fpr WBS as a mix of grains that prep a bit differently. I wanna use millet masters on wheat, which was like $15/50lb.

Can u guys find just plain millet? I was literally carrying a bag of bird seed and the dude at the feed store said a bag of millet, of the same weight 50#, for 10 bucks. Ive bought 2 since and they havent raised the price yet, so I've just been using straight millet for master qts. Is there an advantage to birdseed, what with the sunflower seeds and shit? Wouldnt it just be better to get straight millet? Genuinely wondering, not putting down the wbs. I cant say no to 100# millet for 20 bucks, thats the cheapest grain i've worked with.

If i could find millet at that price I'd get it. Some say the various grains make wbs a little more forgiving on moisture content but I can neither confirm nor deny it. Straight millet is more expensive than WBS for me.

Damn dude im sorry :/ Millet is the cheapest grain i can get right now , and once i get a few more cases under my belt, i should have the prep down pat. Im a little old fashioned, and instead of bookmarks on my computer I have 5 pieces of legal paper stapled together with soak and boil times for all the grains i try out

I am loving whole oat since I switched from WBS. Way cheeper for me personally and it is half the work for prep. 50 pound bag for 14$ at the local mill. Even cheeper when harvest season comes.

I can't really imagine it being easier than dumping boiling water on wbs. Or just letting it soak overnight. But I'm glad you're enjoying oats.

But rice is better? I find it odd how some grains we eat (more or less) alone yet others we only mix it with other things

Took pour pasty and lurker and some other dudes a sunday afternoon to explain to me about albinos/lucisticz and how all that fit together. That was a big light bulb for me.
Jst learned in here from y'alls more about the basic characteristics of mycellium. That was awesome.
Lets not stop there god damnit. It's the learning, you see. That's wats making me sprout mohogany.
I knw wat imma do. Imma make some kinda crazy mutant like that enigma brainiac thing cept it'll be stable and make spores and be bad ass!
Let the mutants come my way.

I suggest sitting down, writing out a list of shit you'd like to know, AND SEARCHING THAT SHIT
Cubensis and the biolummenescent are of differing species, and couldn't be crossed: even in a specialized laboratory
Quit editing your shit lol... brainiac is "stable"... I just don't know that it sporelates?
