Slugs in a Blender

So, those of you who are considering eating fresh pedro or torch via skinning, blending with water, and drinking....
The consistency reminds me of what slugs would be like in a blender.
Except that I bet the slugs would taste a whole lot better.
Question: if I boil it down and make tea of it, since I'm going to be cutting it into chunks beforehand, do I even need to remove the wax skin? I'm thinking the boiling action might make the skin separate naturally, and then I can just strain it out with the rest. I have boiled it before, but I removed the skin first. Haven't tried leaving the skin on so I thought I'd ask.

No, the spines and skin all soften and fall apart during boiling

What a perfectly explicit description. I dig it. I'll also never try it lol.

For me it had the consistency and texture of a pint of phlegm, and I can see why you use the slug analogy because yup, it slid down the throat in a homogeneous green blob.
Can safely say it was close to the most disgusting thing I ever consumed, although perhaps surpassed by Calea zacatechichi, and HBWR (erghh just thinking about those poisonous seeds makes me nauseous).

Very few things make my stomach churn, but the thought of drinking phlegm is one of those things.

You dont need to skin or despine. Just blend with water and simmer for like 5 hours. The most potent part is the dark areas. So you are wasting that. The best way is to eat it for potency and you need much less. The whole plant is evolving with you to provide the best medicine and nutrition.
