Yeah that is a Venus Flytrap in there. For real pest control I have a sticky trap but the Venus Flytrap gets a few gnats in there.
The tub is in a Martha and I leave the lid very loose and sometimes I take it off all together. I have a set up that flushes all the old stale air out of the Martha and replaces it with fresh air about three times a day.
CO2 build up can definitely affect the size and shape of fruitbodies.

I was wondering if you used a casing in the picture?
Doesn't look like it to me. If not.. I thought it was highly recommended with all PE varieties?

I'm betting she pseudo cased, I just seen someone else say that's what they did per Bod either way, you can see a pretty good beading on the surface and it doesn't look dry either, so she made it thru colonization and pinning nicely somehow

I went back to shoeboxes for a bit to ensure best practices after a string of problems, so the above picture was taken from a shoebox using my Shoebox Assembly Tek (i.e. yes, I put a top coat of coir on there, I also do this for regular PE, but they still blob like mother fuckers). Proper casing seems like a lot of work with little payout I try to always run things the same first, then adjust moving forward. These seem to be fine w/o needing to do much more than normal
