Hey guys anyone ever tripped while on amoxicillin or any other anti biotic?? I am wondering if there is any negative interactions???

Nope, no problem mixing the two, so long as it's just a standard dose and not like an IV drip (possible liver issue).

Antibiotics mess with your gut microbiome though, which research is increasingly showing can influence mood.

Any time I've been on antibiotics I try to eat a lot of fiber and fermented foods or take probiotics a couple hours after taking the med. Not sure if it does anything, but worth a shot to try to keep things in balance

I would wait until body healed unless you have absolutely zero symptoms.

Thanks guys... The issue is just had a tooth pulled and I really aint trying to take the pain killers. I have constant knee pain as well (had multiple surgeries on them) but every time I take some mushrooms the pain in my knees totally dissapeers! so I was hoping the same thing will happen with this tooth issue....I don't think I am going take a full blown dose to trip balls maybe just a gram and a half or something see if it relieves some of the pain...

Or it could make it extremely worse. Mushrooms distract you from the pain because you're not thinking about it. It de-registers.

But, if you had some thought while tripping about the pain.. it may be unbearable. It may create a huge manifestation of pain thats not even that bad at that moment.

Mushrooms are a hell of a drug.

Much better to wait while you're in better condition. Take a pain killer.. drink your water and get some rest. If you can do without the painkiller, then do it.

Personally, if I'm in pain from a surgery of some sort. I take my pain medication as needed but dont try and find an alternative source. I'm not going to become addicted. I do it to manage pain then get the fick rid of them.

Few days of pain management with painkillers is not the worse thing you'll do in your life. And I think its more silly to take mushrooms for pain reduction than painkillers themselves.

I’d do fine on mushrooms, but something like LSD would make me loose my shit. So much more exhausting and lengthy.

Thanks guys!! so I ended up eating mushrooms and was fine took away the pain just as I was hoping! The reason I don't want ANY pain killers is well I was a heroin addict for 10 years and got off it and onto methadone and now been on that for almost 10 years! I made the decision a couple months ago to ween off the methadone and I am halfway there so not trying to add ANY more opiates to my system.
