LC like growth in syringe, resulting myc

Made some syringes to hydrate some old spores.

This one had a LC like suspension in it. I took it to agar, before this "suspension" grew.





And the result on agar is this.



Am pretty sure this is not cube myc. This has zero nutrient just water and spores. Am I paranoid or totally off? Thoughts?

Well...

Your spores are obviously dirty as fuck or your syringe making was subpar ..or both:shrug:

Spores can germinate in water that's not unheard of.

You used way too many spores for a syringe you could expand those few ccs of solution into 10 more full syringes easily(if it wasnt contaminated)

Fair enough, I have a shit metric ton of spores at hand. Haven't done agar work in a good couple of years, hence looking for validation on the myc itself. Stretching the spores is of no concern, I just take up what lands off the print with little fuss.

I assume you agree its not cube myc then.

It's not really a matter of conserving spores. The point is that the more spores you grab the more likely you are to grab something else. Anyone one who has ever grown a single mushroom has available enough spores to dose the world.
