If you are building a shed, to find the first two points (first wall), you can drop them anywhere. But how do you ensure your third point is at a perfect right angle when jettisoned out from the initial?

When you put the protractor on the first two points, are you going to get a super large one that reaches to the third point? Will you extend a string out?

Laser.
Or attach a string to point A the length of your calculated hypotenuse and a string to point B the length of the desired width
Then have them meet up. At point C the third point.
