I'm kind of devoted to Shri Mataji still. It's hard not to be when I've had multiple spontaneous experiences with her photograph being the only constant variable. Also the whole thing about the yoga she started being taken over and turned into just another organization like iskcon has left me unwilling to be part of another spiritual group again.

But if Daishi and you are ever in SD county like up in Encinitas maybe you can let me know and if I don't have to be anywhere we can get a burrito or something?

Yeah I understand that a lot. I don't think I could ever connect with another teacher the way I have with Daishi, even he were no longer here on Earth. I think there's a special connection we have with one particular teacher, although we may still learn things from other teachers too.

It's unlikely that Daishi will be down that way in the near future, but I seem to be in Encinitas/Carlsbad a few times a year with other Sangha members. Was there at the beach in August actually. I'll hit you up next time we are in the area :sun:

Thanks for sharing. The membership fee is reasonable. I would be more concerned if it was free- they seem to have aspirations to have a quality movement. The website is very clean and the content seems good (going off the eye test).

I read and experience on my own but I wouldn't dismiss these teaching just because they are online and want official members. Online groups are the new temples.

I remember signing up for a mindfulness app a few years back. It was a very fair subscription fee as well and I found it very well presented and most importantly effective for me. Come to think of it I might need to start that back up. I kind of put together a custom system and those guided meditations complemented it.

the problem is its really hard to feel good here existing with so much fucked up shit going on.  I feel too much, I have a lot of empathy for things that are suffering, I'm a drug addict because I need to escape from all that is wrong here.  I cant deal with it cause I don't have the power to do anything.  the good you do wont do you no good, it seems.

I understand where you are coming from. When you look at the world, everything does seem so hopeless, there is so much suffering, so much corruption. I've used drugs to try and escape too, but it's only ever been a very temporary band aid for me. It doesn't ever truly get rid of the pain...

"Here' is the state of suffering we find ourselves in, the state of constantly seeking and chasing things we desire, and the state of running away from the things that we believe will cause us pain. It's not a physical place as much as it is a place in our minds. I've chased a lot of things in my life, all kinds of highs, drugs, money, sex, thrills etc and yet never found any real satisfaction in any of it. Maybe for a split second, and then it's gone and I am left feeling empty, looking for the next high. It's a state of perpetual emptiness, whether I try and 'see good' or not. Positive and negative are still part of the delusion it seems.

I've felt the pain and suffering of this mentality, and I've also found a really direct method to get out of it (at least it's working for me, in progress), to find a whole other state of mind where this constant chasing is seen through, more than that actually, it just doesn't exist anymore, and there is just happiness, contentment, and even bliss. That's what I am sharing here, because I truly wish there was a way that we could all be free from this cycle that the mind seems to have us all trapped in. The thing is, not everyone wants a way out, and that's fine. No need to visit the site if you don't have the inclination. This is just here for those who might be looking for this kind of change :heart:
