Do you HATE cleaning jars ?

well i used to !

1 Drill.. cordless is a better choice, safety reasons,, 14 v.. mild buzz 120v.. .. already had one.

Dirty Jars... we all got them.

1 toilet brush.. new. clean, anywhere 1.50 $

1 Blade knife to cut down the handle to size so it fits the drill.

1- Full charge battery !

whoot whoot.

Stick to moderate speed as 2nd gear will result in very wet shirts and a reason to mop your floor !

I finally found some wide mouth 1 L jars.. but even with those i can't fit my hand in them to scrub hard enough to remove bacterial contam film...

Ever since the drill.. i've reused many jars that would have otherwise been thrown out.. just because.

I resemble that remark!

Dawn Power Dish Brush ? 8$

Nice idea though. The button on the brush is in the middle, so not totally ideal for cleaning quarts. Doesnt seem as powerfull either.

you only needed to come up with this idea because you didnt buy wide mouth jars.

Mine are as easy as a water glass to clean.

lol I think Scolecite is jealous!!!!

Good idea, I have rather large hands so wide mouth or not my hands don't fit in my jars. And because of this I was bleach/h2o soaking my jars after contams to be sure I rid myself of everything. Your contraption could chop much time off this process. Good Job!

I'd be very careful using an electric drill to wash jars.

I would reccomend strongly against using a non-cordless drill at all.

Good Idea! I bet you could market that thing in the future mushroom cultivation section at WallyMart!! Ha! Definately know what you are sayin about the big hands vs. small jar. Total pain in the ass! As far as bacterial film I would still suggest a dilute bleach solution to soak and be sure they are clean of stuff you cant see to scrubb off. This thing looks perfect for the gunky stuff though. All you've got to is get a power tool involved and I like it!

LOL.. yeah. power tools make even boring jobs more fun !!

And i agree 100 % , only do this with a cordless drill.

I usually clean them with dish soap to get the scum off.. then i rinse everything, refill the sink with water/heavy bleach, and let them soak for a 1/2 hour, good time to smoke a  :rasta:
