Charlottesville was a fascist white nationalist rally where a white nationalist murdered a woman protesting against it in a mass injury attack, and here we are talking about how violent antifa was at that literal same event and how no conservative groups are as violent.

Again, can you actually describe any of this violence committed by Antifa in any sort of detail?

The violence I witnessed was typical street mob attacks. It consisted of punching, kicking and throwing objects at people for no valid reason other than disagreeing with their political ideology.

Those people were obviously looking for a violent confrontation that day.

It wasn't a mere disagreement of ideology, it was community self-defence against hundreds of white supremacists and the threat of violence they brought.

This violence was on display the night before when a torch bearing mob, chanting "blood and soil" and "jews will not replace us", surrounded and attacked a dozen or so college students who arrived to counter protest this unpermited rally of neo-nazism on their campus.

This violence was also on display later the next day when one of the fascists intentionally drove their car into a large crowd of people, injuring dozens and killing Heather Heyer.

Self-defence is both a right and a duty. Charlottesville was self-defence. Antifascism is self-defence.

Fascists then murder an anti fascist in a mass attack.

Fascists spend the next two years pointing at this antifa response as proof it’s antifa who are violent and they just innocent bystanders.  While of course trying to play down the fact that their hate slogans radicalized a murderer at their very event, as it doesn’t fit the whole ‘antifa are the real fascists’ narrative.

And sure if the first and only thing you’ve seen about the situation is antifa saying enough is enough, then of course it looks like they are the violent ones, but of course antifa is a reaction and that’s why we’re still talking about a 2 year old story, because antifa isn’t roving the streets with weapons like the white nationalists are, they are a reaction to a threat and when the threat is over, they go back to what they were doing.

If your first thought in the matter is ‘those poor innocent fascists being violently confronted by Antifa’ or ‘Well blacks/blm hurt their community more than the police.’ You are either a fascist or get your information from fascists because those are both white nationalist talking points.
