Koods, Acrolein is a violent irritant yes, but the damage treshold is beneath the irritation treshold, Its a violent irritant but an even more violent cellular disruptor, thats why it was interesting as a war gas, its far more than a mere lacrymator.

I think this has been spurred on by the recent spate of people getting sick from using vapes. The article below has some information on that - although it's still uncertain at this time one potential cause could be synthetic vitamin E oil (tocopheryl-acetate), which entered the market in late 2018 as a diluent that wouldn't reduce viscosity.

80% of the lung injuries were THC cart users.  Only 20% CLAIM to have not used THC carts.

Vit E acetate was used to thicken THC that has been deluted.  An unsafe cutting agent.  Found in blackmarket vape carts.

Seems little to nothing to do with nicotine vaping.  That's just media and Govt hype.

The top three most profitable vape companies in the US are owned by the same people that own marlboro.

Vitamin E is the most likely culprit, not anything that's coming out of glycerin heating. Vitamin E is non-polar, and lipid pneumonia is a well known and very dangerous side effect of inhaling fats.

Trump is is completely subservient to industry. Would not surprise me at all how easily a business executive could corrupt trump with a simple phone call and a night or two at one of his crap hotels

Do you have any evidence that banning vaping would make kids more heathy? We have a national institutes of health that can study the issue. I don’t think the dumbest man to ever occupy the White House is in any position to make that determination because his ditzy wife said something to him at his 2pm breakfast

A man who thinks exercise is dangerous because the human body has a limited amount of life energy shouldnt be opining about anything health related. He’s a fucking moron.

It's just the new thing for freaking out about.  80% wasn't even "vapes" but diluted/cut THC.

Not all vaping is at all equal.  It's like banning all food because some bad black market sausage was going around.  Total hysteria.

Of course dumb people (the majority) accepts the media opinion and has done zero research.

Meanwhile tobacco stocks are increasing.  Phillip Morris up over 5%.  A vaper merger no longer a deal.

Follow the money folks!

Vape juice taxes, Chinese vapes, tobacco being a southern industry (GOP).

80% were caused by blackmarket cut THC.

I did some research, Trump did announcing wanting to ban vape products but nothing has been done yet to deal with it. A couple states like Washington and Michigan have started a state-wide ban on vape products. But nothing at a federal level.

CO2 becomes acidic when you dissolve it in water.

Edit: a bunch of it becomes carbonic acid, rather.  Not sure if that is an important distinction

I've seen poor evidence, more over rumor that suggests pg can break down into under heat into formaldehyde.

I think far more shit is in tobacco or cannabis smoke.  The real question is when did people get so health paranoid?  There's all sorts of shit in food, in our water and air.  But damn if someone uses something for recreation.

Society is a bit prude and paranoid.

It can get quite humorous watching people's techniques and advice on what to avoid.

I alternate between a pipe and a vape, but neither of them is any good for the lungs.

Pipe burns too hot and the vape clogs my lungs up.

Smoking dries the mucus and vape seems to require mucus.
